Layers Of Beauty Grateful Purple Roses |
L ovely thank you card using Stampin' Up! products and decorative masks.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Fresh Freesia Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 3" x 4-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2 pieces each 1-1/4" x 4-1/4" of mottled and splattered purplish/pink and light blue Beautiful Bokeh 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
- 1-1/2" x 2-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Layers Of Beauty Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of Grid Paper on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the large group of roses, small flowers, and leaves image from the Layers Of Beauty Set on Block F. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it on the large, horizontal white rectangle so the roses are in the center. Let the rest of the image go off the edges.
Place the stamped white rectangle on some Grid Paper on your work surface. Pick out the more open roses and small flowers mask from the Layered Beauty Decorative Masks. Place it over the cardstock so the flowers are centered over the stamped flower images.
Tip: If desired, use a piece of washi tape or Post-It Notes to hold the mask in place.
Rub a Sponge Dauber across the open Fresh Freesia Ink Pad to get it inky. Pounce or gently rub the inky dauber all over the openings for the roses in the flowers mask. Get more ink on the Sponge Dauber as needed.
Rub a different Sponge Dauber across the open Balmy Blue Ink Pad to get it inky. Pounce or gently rub the inky dauber all over the openings for the small flowers and buds in the flowers mask. Get more ink on the Sponge Dauber as needed.
Pick out the slightly more detailed roses and small flowers mask from the Layered Beauty Decorative Masks. Place it over the cardstock so the flowers are centered over the previously masked flower images.
Tip: If desired, use a piece of washi tape or Post-It Notes to hold the mask in place.
Rub the Sponge Dauber used for the Fresh Freesia ink across the open Fresh Freesia Ink Pad again to get it inky. Pounce or gently rub the inky dauber all over the openings for the roses in the flowers mask. Get more ink on the Sponge Dauber as needed.
Pick out the very detailed roses and small flowers mask from the Layered Beauty Decorative Masks. Place it over the cardstock so the flowers are centered over the previously masked flower images.
Tip: If desired, use a piece of washi tape or Post-It Notes to hold the mask in place.

Adhere the two strips of Beautiful Bokeh Designer Paper to the top and bottom of the stamped and colors white rectangle so they stick out by about 7/8" and the left and right edges are all even.
Cut two 5" pieces of silver ribbon from the Gold & Silver 1/8" Trim Combo Pack.
Lay one piece of ribbon across the matted, stamped, and colored designer paper/cardstock rectangle so it covers the seam between the top of the white rectangle and the top designer paper strip.. Fold the ends of the ribbon over and secure the ribbon in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Lay the other piece of ribbon across the matted, stamped, and colored designer paper/cardstock rectangle so it covers the seam between the bottom of the white rectangle and the bottom designer paper strip.. Fold the ends of the ribbon over and secure the ribbon in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the designer paper/cardstock rectangle. Adhere the rectangle to the front of the Fresh Freesia card so there is about 3/8" of Fresh Freesia showing at the top and bottom and the left and right edges are all even.
Mount the "grateful for you" sentiment from the Layers Of Beauty Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Fresh Freesia Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the remaining white rectangle.
Pick out the postage stamp rectangle die that measures 1-1/8" x 1-7/8" from the Perennial Postage Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the sentiment. Run through the machine.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment cut out to the front of the card as shown so it is centered over the ribbon on the upper right side of the card front and is about 3/8" from the right edge.
Cut a 3" piece of the silver ribbon from the Gold & Silver 1/8" Trim Combo Pack.
Slide one end of the ribbon under the ribbon already on the card front on the bottom left side. Tie in place with a half knot. Trim the ends.
Put five tiny dots of Multipurpose Liquid Glue on the card front as shown.
Use the putty tip of the Take Your Pick to pick out 5 sequins and/or half beads from the Itty Bitty Bokeh Mix. Adhere them to the drops of liquid glue.
