Kindest Gnomes Floral Gnome Birthday |
B right, fun birthday card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Daffodil Delight Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Petal Pink Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of pink and orange flowers on mottled green, yellow, pink, and white background design from Texture Chic 12" x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 1-1/2" x 4-1/4" from Petal Pink Cardstock
- 1" x 3-7/8" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 2-3/4' from Basic White Cardstock
Adhere the piece of Texture Chic Designer Paper to the center of the large Petal Pink rectangle and then to the front of the Daffodil Delight card.
Mount the "happy birthday" sentiment from the Celebrating You Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Daffodil Delight Ink Pad. Stamp it on the right side of the 1" x 3-7/8" horizontal white strip.
Place the stamped sentiment strip on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Use the fine tip of the Dark Petal Pink Stampin' Blends to color in the letters of the word "birthday."
Pick out the scalloped lace edge die from the Basic Borders Dies. Put it horizontally across the center of the 1-1/2" x 4-1/4" Petal Pink strip on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Keep both pieces.
Adhere the two scalloped lace edge pieces to the top and bottom of the stamped and colored white strip so the peaks of the scalloped lace stick out above and below. Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off any excess Petal Pink Cardstock on the right and left edges.
Adhere the matted, stamped, and colored sentiment strip to the front of the card so it is about 1-1/4" from the top edge.
Mount the gnome with braids image from the Kindest Gnomes Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the remaining Basic White rectangle.
Pick out the matching gnome die from the Gnomes Dies. Put it on top of the stamped gnome image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Tip: It is often better to cut images out with dies before spending all the time to color them in. That way if the dies slip during the cutting process, you haven't wasted a lot of time on the coloring.
Place the gnome cut out on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
