hese Journals are easy and as detailed as you want to make them.
I will instruct the basic black/white sample.
I will show in the supply section, items that can be used to embellish this prayer journal,Christmas journal or personal journal... whatever your heart desires...
Basic Black CS 8.5x11"- Horizontal to start
2. Score center line 5.5"
3. Score 1/8" on both sides of the center score
4. Score top fold down 21/8"from edge
5. Score bottom fold up 21/2" from edge
6. Score diagonal or fold diagonal corners 21/8"- all 4 inside flaps
7. Scotch Tape the top flap & bottom flap from the inside
8. Set Basic Black Journal aside
Cut 2 pieces White CS 3x2.7/8" - corner punch two top corners
2. Cup 2 pieces White CS 2x27/8"- corner punch two top corners
Flap:
1. Cut 1 piece 3.25x4.25"
2. Score at 1" and 1.25"
3. set aside
Booklet:
1. Cut 2 - 8x4" pieces
2. Score at center 4"
3. Cut Linen writing paper 7.75x3.75"
4. Score at center
Assemble:
1.Using Permanent 1/4" double-sided tape
attach White pockets to left inside on 3 sides
2. Attach smaller white pocket to left side on 3 sides with double sided tape
3. Do the same for right side
4. Using double-sided tape, tape d0wn the 4 folded triangle corners on their outside edge only
Booklet:
1.Inside the 2 scored lines, With piercing tool punch wholes 1/8" from both the top and one from the bottom
2. Then pierce 3 wholes at the 1" 2" 3" marks on a ruler
3.Do the same to the white linen paper on the scored center mark
4. Attach with embroidery thread or brads
5. these booklets should fit on both sides of the black folded journal base
Flap:
1. Attach flap to the black folded journal with embroidery thread, brads or staples...
2. add ribbon with glue to tie close
