Jar Of Flowers Grateful Jar Bouquet |
P retty thank you card using a bit of watercoloring and some new products from Stampin' Up!
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Just Jade Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Magenta Madness Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 5-1/8" of small roses in red, pink, yellow, and blue with greenery design from Flowers For Every Season 6x6" Designer Series Paper
- 2-1/4" x 3" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 3-3/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Jar Of Flowers Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the bouquet of roses image from the Jar Of Flowers Set on Block I. Ink it up with the Jet Black StazOn Ink Pad. Stamp it in the upper right corner of the horizontal large (3-7/8" x 5-1/8") white rectangle so the top of the image is about 1/8" from the top of the cardstock and the right edge is about 1/4" from the right edge of the cardstock. Leave the stamp on the block.
Re-ink the bouquet of roses image on Block I with the Jet Black StazOn Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the horizontal 2-1/4" x 3" white rectangle.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the piece of Flowers For Every Season Designer Paper across the bottom of the stamped, large white rectangle.
Mount one of the shorter sentiments of choice from the Lovely You Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Magenta Madness Ink Pad. Stamp it just to the left of the stamped bouquet of roses just above the designer paper.
Squeeze the lid of the Just Jade Ink Pad to get ink in the lid. Use the Blender Pen to pick up ink from the pad lid and color in the LEAVES ONLY on the bouquet image on the large white rectangle. Don't worry about coloring in the flowers. Remember to stroke in one direction only or the cardstock will tear and pill up. Remember to scribble on Grid Paper in between colors until no more color is coming off the Blender Pen.
One at a time, squeeze the lids of the remaining ink pads to get ink in the lids. One at a time, use the Blender Pen to pick up ink from the pad lids and color in the FLOWERS ONLY on the bouquet image on the small white rectangle. Don't worry about coloring in the leaves. Remember to stroke in one direction only or the cardstock will tear and pill up. Remember to scribble on Grid Paper in between colors until no more color is coming off the Blender Pen.
Use the following colors:
Poppy Parade – for the large rose and one of the buds
Magenta Madness - for the smaller rose just to the right of the large rose
Bumblebee - for the smaller rose in the center
Misty Moonlight - for the remaining two buds
Mount the large jar image stamp from the Jar Of Flowers Set on Block C so the detailed side of the stamp is the one you will be stamping. Ink up the stamp with the Misty Moonlight Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the vertical 1-3/4" x 3-3/4" strip of white cardstock.
Unlock the Jar Punch. Hold it upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped jar image into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Squeeze the lid of the Misty Moonlight Ink Pad to get ink in the lid. Use the Blender Pen to pick up ink from the pad lid and lightly color in the bottom half of the jar punch out. Remember to stroke in one direction only or the cardstock will tear and pill up. Remember to scribble on Grid Paper in between colors until no more color is coming off the Blender Pen.
Mount the bundle of stems image from the Jar Of Flowers Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Just Jade Ink Pad. Stamp the stems inside the jar punch out so the bottoms of the stems are just below the watercolored water line (the tops of the stems may go off the top edge of the punch out).
Squeeze the lid of the Just Jade Ink Pad to get ink in the lid. Use the Blender Pen to pick up ink from the pad lid and lightly color in the centers of the stems on the jar punch out. Remember to stroke in one direction only or the cardstock will tear and pill up. Remember to scribble on Grid Paper in between colors until no more color is coming off the Blender Pen.
Now, adhere the strip of Flowers For Every Season Designer Paper to the bottom of the stamped and colored large white rectangle.
Adhere the stamped and colored jar punch out to the front of the card so the bottom of the jar is near the bottom of the designer paper and the top of the jar overlaps the bottom of the leaves colored bouquet image on the white layer.
Adhere the designer paper/white/jar layer to the center of the Magenta Madness rectangle.
Cut a 6" piece of the Just Jade 2020-2022 In Color 1/4" Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the layered cardstock/designer paper/jar pieces so the ribbon covers the seam between the designer paper and the white cardstock and is just below the top of the jar. Flip the layers over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere the ends of the ribbon in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the Magenta Madness rectangle. Adhere it to the front of the Just Jade card.
Use Paper Snips to carefully "fussy cut" the flowers from the colored bouquet image. Don't worry about cutting out the leaves and don't worry about cutting out the small white spaces between the buds and the roses.
Adhere the cut out bouquet image over the top of the stamped bouquet image on the card front so it overlaps the top of the jar a bit.
Cut a 9" piece of Just Jade 2020-2022 In Color 1/4" Ribbon.
Tie a small bow in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon bow to the front of the card so it is centered over the ribbon already on the card in the center of the jar punch out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 3 Bumblebee dots from a sheet of 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them randomly to the card front over and around the sentiment.
