Itty Bitty Greetings Gold Splattered Wreath |
P retty get well card using Stampin' Up! products. The sentiment can easily be changed to make almost any kind of card you need.
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Pretty Peacock Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Old Olive Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 3" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
Lightly spritz the Old Olive rectangle with water and insert into the Seasonal Wreath 3D Embossing Folder. Place the folder with the paper inside on your die cutting and embossing tool and run through the machine. Set aside to dry.
Mount the sentiment of choice from the Itty Bitty Greetings Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Pretty Peacock Ink Pad. Stamp in the center of the Very Vanilla rectangle.
Pick out the short, skinny die with decorative ends from the Ornate Frames Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the sentiment is centered. Run through the tool. Use the Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick tool to remove the pieces if needed.
If the dry embossed Old Olive rectangle is dry, proceed with the next step.
Tip: You can speed up drying with a Heat Tool if needed.
Place the dry embossed Old Olive rectangle on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface.
Fill an Aqua Painter with water.
Press the Golden Glitz Delicata Metallic Ink Pad to Block D to get some ink on the block. Squeeze a drop or two of water from the Aqua Painter onto the inky block. Stir the water into the ink on the block and get the brush tip of the Aqua Painter loaded with inky water.
Hold the inky brush tip a couple of inches over the dry embossed Old Olive rectangle and flick the brush with your finger to make drops of inky water fall onto the cardstock. Repeat until you have the coverage you want, getting more inky water on the brush as needed. Set aside to allow to dry.
Tip: Clean the brush tip of the Aqua Painter by scribbling on Grid Paper until no more color is coming off or run the tip under some running water until it is clear.
Tip: Clean the clear block by running it under water as well and allowing it to air dry.
If the dry embossed and splattered Old Olive rectangle is dry, proceed with the next step.
Tip: You can speed up drying with a Heat Tool if needed.
Use Tear & Tape Adhesive on the edges of the back of the dry embossed and splattered Old Olive rectangle to adhere it to the front of the Pretty Peacock card.
Cut a 3-1/4" piece of Old Olive/Pretty Peacock 3/8" Reversible Ribbon so it has sharp angles on either end.
Use a small piece of Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere the ribbon piece to the front of the card so it covers the lower right side of the dry embossed wreath.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment cut out to the front of the card so it is centered side to side over the top half of the ribbon.
Cut a 16" piece of Linen Thread.
Fold the Linen Thread in half. Tie a small bow in the center of the thread. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the thread bow to the front of the card just below the sentiment cut out on the right side.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick tool to pick up 5 different sized dots from a sheet of Gold Glitter Enamel Dots being sure to get the adhesives as well. Adhere them to the card front in groups of 3 and 2 on either side of the dry embossed wreath.
