It Starts With Art In Color Refills Array |
F un cards showcasing new In Colors and other new Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a cutting and scoring tool:
- card from cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4" (I used Rococo Rose, Terracotta Tile, Pretty Peacock, Seaside Spray, and Purple Posy)
- 4" x 5-1/4" from cardstock (I used Petal Pink, Soft Sea Foam, and Pear Pizzazz)
- 2" x 4" of small gingham design from 2019-2021 In Color 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper (I used Rococo Rose, Terracotta Tile, Pretty Peacock, Seaside Spray, and Purple Posy)
- 1" x 4-3/4" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 2-1/4" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 1 piece each 1" x 2" of Rococo Rose, Terracotta Tile, Pretty Peacock, Seaside Spray, and Purple Posy Cardstock
- 1-1/4" square of cardstock (I used Rococo Rose, Terracotta Tile, Pretty Peacock, Seaside Spray, and Purple Posy)
Lightly spray the 4" x 5-1/4" cardstock rectangle with water. This will help you get a deeper impression when you dry emboss it.
Insert the damp 4" x 5-1/4" cardstock into the Button Button Embossing Folder so the top 2/3 of the cardstock is in the folder. Use the line drawn on the front flap of the folder to help you line the cardstock up straight. Run the folder with the paper inside through your die cutting and embossing tool. Set aside to allow to dry.
Pick out the long, skinny line of buttons die from the Arts & Crafts Dies. Put it on top of the long, skinny strip of Crumb Cake Cardstock on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
If the dry embossed 4" x 5-1/4" rectangle is dry, proceed with the next step.
Tip: You can use a Heat Tool to speed up drying if you wish.
Using SNAIL Adhesive, adhere the rectangle of gingham pattern 2019-2021 In Color Designer Paper to the bottom of the dry embossed rectangle.
Using the Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue, adhere the line of buttons cut out to the rectangle so it covers the seam between the cardstock and designer paper. Use Paper Snips to trim off the excess cardstock on the sides.
Adhere the layered, dry embossed rectangle of cardstock and designer paper to the front of the card using SNAIL Adhesive.
Mount the ink refill bottle image from the It Starts With Art Set on Block B. Ink it up with Basic Gray Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of each of the 1" x 2" pieces of new In Color cardstocks. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time.
Pick out the ink refill bottle die from the Arts & Crafts Dies. One at a time, put it on top of the stamped ink refill bottle image on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the ink refill bottle image is centered in the die. Run through the tool.
Mount the fancy edged label image from the It Starts With Art Set on Block B. Ink it up with Crumb Cake Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Crumb Cake rectangle.
Mount the "let's stay up late and craft" sentiment from the It Starts With Art Set on Block A. Ink it up with corresponding color 2019-2021 Ink Pad as your base card (I used Rococo Rose, Terracotta Tile, Pretty Peacock, and Seaside Spray) or with the Crumb Cake Ink Pad for the Purple Posy card. Stamp it in the center of the fancy edged label image.
Tip: Use Crumb Cake Ink for the Purple Posy card because the Purple Posy Ink does not show up well on the Crumb Cake Cardstock.
Tip: If you are making multiple cards in different colors, be sure to clean your stamp between colors using the Simply Shammy and/or Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub.
Pick out the label die from the Arts & Crafts Dies. Put it on top of the stamped label image on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the label image is centered in the die. Run through the tool.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the ink refill bottle cut outs on the top of the card front on the left side in an array so they overlap each other bit. Make sure the top bottle is the color as the base card. WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the label cut out on top of the bottles so it covers the bottoms to make sure the spacing is good. When happy with the arrangement and spacing, use SNAIL Adhesive to adhere the bottles in place one at a time.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the label cut out in place so it covers the bottoms of the bottle cut outs.
Pick out the large, embossed circle button die from the Arts & Crafts Dies. Put it on top of the In Color Cardstock square on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Using SNAIL Adhesive, adhere the button cut out to the card front so it is centered over the line of buttons cut out on the right side of the card.
Cut a 4" piece of the 1/2" Scalloped Linen Ribbon that matches the card base.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the center of the large button cut out already on the card front.
