How to make a #simplestamping card |
|
|
Use a piece of thick whisper white card stock, cut it in half along the 11" side at 5 1/2. Score your card at 4 1/4. Fold at the score line and use a bone folder across the crease to give a crisp fold. I used the Varied Vases stamp set for this card. I picked the dark vase on the bottom left, placed it on a block, taped the stamp on my black ink pad until the image looked well inked and pressed it on the front a little below the halfway point. Next I used the flower in the upper left hand corner of the set and placed it on a block, taped it on the black ink pad until it looked well inked, then pressed the stem almost to the bottom of the vase. To keep the vase and flower from looking like it was just floating around in space, I used my crumb cake ink pad, pressed it on a block, then used a small brush that I dipped into a few drops of water, then rubbed on the block to get a little ink on the brush. I rubbed the brush over the card under the vase. Used this process a few times until I was satisfied with the results. Next I used the sentiment "You are simple the best!", and inked it with crumb cake and stamped it on the bottom of the card. To highlight the fact that I used crumb cake ink instead of black ink, I used the same process of pressing my block on the black ink and dipping my brush into a little water then rubbed in the black ink on the block and brushed a couple times. There you have simple quick card made. Write a note on the inside, put in an envelope and send off to your favorite person.
