How to layer patterned paper |
D o you have beautiful patterned paper and don’t know quiet what to do with it? I have some simply ideas I can share with you.
First dig through your stash of patterned paper. Pick out 3 that are matching. Now decide which one you want to see the most of. Cut it 4” x 5 1/4” . Next cut the next 2 patterns to the same size. Now tear them one needs to be taller than the other. Layer then down on top of the first patterned piece.
Now you are ready to add a image. I chose Nature’s Harvest Stamp Set because I love the flowers in this stamp set. I used Momento Tuxedo Black with Basic White Cardstock because I am using Stampin’ Blends Stampin’ Up! Alcohol Markers. I colored in the flowers with Daffadil Delight and the leaves Light Old Olive. The Dark Old Olive is perfect for the stems. This is when I added my sentiment from Beauty Of Friendship Stamp Set just a simply HELLO I thought was perfect for this card.
Now cut out the image with Stitched So Sweetly Dies I used the largest die and used Misty Moonlight Cardstock. I used the 2nd to the largest and cut out the image. I adhered the together. I add Bumblebee Ribbon around the bottom of the image piece and tied in a bow. Them I adhered the image with the ribbon to the patterned layers and adhered everything to The card base of Misty Moonlight cut to 4” x 11” scored at 5 1/2”. I hope you enjoy recreating this card. I almost forgot I add a image of the other flowers from this set to the inside of the card for a special touch.
