Hot Air Balloon Rainbow Celebration |
F un card made with Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock pieces and designer kit pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer and Paper Snips Scissors:
- card from Pretty Peacock Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Summer Splash Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 2-3/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1" square from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- rainbow card from Rainbow Celebration Kit cut in half at score line and then front panel cut in half creating 2 rainbow arches
- sprinkle rainbow arch from Rainbow Celebration Kit cut in half creating 2 rainbow arches
- strip of clouds cut in half to make 2 cloud strips and then trimmed as needed
Adhere one of the rainbow arch halves to the left or right side of the Summer Splash vertical rectangle so that the long, flat edge of the arch is even with the left or right side of the Summer Splash rectangle and the flat bottom edge of the arch is even with the bottom of the Summer Splash rectangle.
Adhere one of the rainbow sprinkle arches curving the same direction as the rainbow arch in place using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off any excess at the side and bottom as needed.
Adhere the Summer Splash rectangle with rainbow pieces attached to the front of the Pretty Peacock card.
Adhere the cut down cloud piece to the front of the card so it is tucked under the arched edge of the rainbow arch.
Pick out a sentiment from the Rainbow Celebration Kit and adhere it to the front of the card with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals so it overlaps the bottom of the rainbow arches about 5/8" from the bottom of the card and about 3/8" from the left or right edge of the card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Hot Air Balloon Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the large balloon top with an opening in the center image from the Hot Air Balloon Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Pretty Peacock Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white rectangle.
Mount the center balloon image with scallops from the Hot Air Balloon Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Summer Splash Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the previously stamped balloon image so the dots are at the tops of the scallops.
Pick out the matching, large open balloon die from the Hot Air Balloon Dies. Put it on top of the stamped balloon image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals from the Rainbow Celebration Kit to adhere the balloon to the front of the card so it overlaps the arched side of the rainbow arch a bit, the bottom of the cloud a bit, and is just above the sentiment.
Pick out the large, open basket (gondola) die from the Hot Air Balloon Dies. Put it on top of the Crumb Cake square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the basket/gondola cut out to the card front so it appears to be hanging from the bottom of the balloon.
Cut a 3" piece of the Pretty Peacock & Gold 3/8" Metallic Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the ribbon and trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot in place as shown so it is centered over the end of the sentiment that overlaps the rainbow arch.
