Honey Bee Sweet Friend Tag |
F un tag using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- 2" x 3-1/2" from Whisper White Thick Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 2" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1-1/4" square from Whisper White Cardstock
Unlock the Delightful Tag Topper Punch. Slide one short edge of the 2" x 3-1/2" white strip into the punch as far as it will go. Punch.
Make sure have a piece of Grid Paper on your work surface to protect it from ink. Place the punched out tag on the Grid Paper.
Open the Crushed Curry Ink Pad and leave it on your work surface in front of you.
Pick out the honeycomb die from the Detailed Bee Dies. Place it cutting side down on the open Crushed Curry Ink Pad. Press down firmly on the die. I used Block D to press down so I could get even pressure and keep my fingers from getting too inky.
Carefully remove the inky honeycomb die from the ink pad and lay it on the top of the punched tag. Press down firmly on all sides.
Note: You will get your fingers inky, so have a wet wipe or baby wipe handy to clean the ink off your fingers.
Note: I just rinsed the ink off my die with running water when I was done and then let it air dry.
Mount the sentiment of choice from the Honey Bee Set on an appropriate sized block. Ink it up with the Pretty Peacock Ink Pad. Stamp it on the bottom of the tag.
Mount the curving flowers on a stem with leaves that curves to the right image from the Honey Bee Set on Block C. Use the brush tip of the Old Olive Marker to color in the stems and leaves and the brush tip of the Pretty Peacock Marker to color in the flowers. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink and stamp it in the middle of the 1-1/4" x 2" white rectangle.
Pick out the matching flowers on stem die from the Detailed Bee Dies. Put it on top of the stamped flower on stem image on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the image is centered. Run through the tool.
Use the brush tip of the Pool Party Marker to color in the flowers on the cut out.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the flower cut out to the top of the tag on the left side.
Mount the small bee image from the Honey Bee Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Memento Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white square.
Pick out the small bee die from the Detailed Bee Dies. Put it on top of the stamped bee image on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the image is centered. Run through the tool.
Put the bee cut out on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. Use the fine tip of the Daffodil Delight Dark Stampin' Blends to color in the stripes on the bee.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the bee cut out to the upper right side of the tag so it is angled towards the flower stem cut out.
Cut a long enough piece of Old Olive/Pretty Peacock 3/8" Reversible Ribbon to wrap around your item and tie it off in a knot.
Wrap the ribbon around and tie a half knot. Slide the tag onto one end of the ribbon. Finish tying the knot and trim the ends of the ribbon.
