Honey Bee Peekaboo Honeycomb Thanks |
P retty thank you card using Stampin' Up! products including some gorgeous designer paper that can be earned for FREE during Sale-A-Bration 2020.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Crushed Curry Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Daffodil Delight Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8"" of small white hexagons on black background design from Golden Honey Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 2 pieces each 1-1/4" x 2" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1-1/4" square from Daffodil Delight Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 2" from Whisper White Cardstock
Pick out the honeycomb die from the Detailed Bee Dies. Put it on top of the Golden Honey Specialty Designer Series Paper on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the top of the die is about 3/4" from the top edge of the paper and the left edge of the die is about 1-1/4" from the left edge of the paper. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces. Save ALL the pieces.
Adhere the large piece of designer paper with the uneven hole cut out of it to the 4" x 5-1/4" Daffodil Delight rectangle.
Use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the delicate honeycomb cut out (with all the hexagons removed) to the Daffodil Delight/designer paper rectangle so it fits inside the cut out in the designer paper.
Tip: Keep the small hexagon cut outs to use on another project or to decorate the inside of the card or the envelope.
Mount one of the curving flowers on a stem with leaves images from the Honey Bee Set on Block C. Use the brush tip of the Old Olive Marker to color in the stems and leaves and the brush tip of the Crushed Curry Marker to color in the flowers. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink and stamp it in the middle of one of the 1-1/4" x 2" white rectangles.
Mount the other curving flowers on a stem with leaves image from the Honey Bee Set on Block C. Use the brush tip of the Old Olive Marker to color in the stems and leaves and the brush tip of the Crushed Curry Marker to color in the flowers. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink and stamp it in the middle of the other 1-1/4" x 2" white rectangle.
Pick out the matching flowers on stems dies from the Detailed Bee Dies. Put them on top of the stamped flowers on stems images on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the images are centered. Make sure the dies do not overlap. Run through the tool.
Use the brush tip of the Daffodil Delight Marker to color in the flowers on the cut outs.
Use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the colored flowers on stems cut outs to the front of the card so they overlap each other a bit and the left side of the honeycomb cut out area on the designer paper.
Mount the "Hello" or "Thank You" sentiment from the Honey Bee Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Crushed Curry Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the small white rectangle.
Pick out the oval tag die from the Mini Curvy Keepsakes Box Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on the white rectangle on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the sentiment is centered. Run through the tool.
Cut a 6" piece of Crushed Curry 3/8" Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon.
Thread the tag cut out onto the ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the bottom of the Daffodil Delight/designer paper rectangle so it is about 1" from the bottom. Secure the ribbon in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add SNAIL to the back of the Daffodil Delight rectangle. Adhere the rectangle to the front of the Crushed Curry card.
Use a Black Stampin' Dimensional from the Black Stampin' Dimensionals Combo Pack to adhere the tag in place on the front of the card at an angle so it overlaps the bottoms of the stems and the ribbon a bit.
Cut a 9" piece of Crushed Curry 3/8" Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon.
Slide one end of the ribbon under the ribbon already on the card just to the left of the tag. Tie the ribbon in place with a small bow. Trim the ends.
Mount the small bee image from the Honey Bee Set on Block B. Ink it up with the StazOn Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Daffodil Delight square.
Pick out the small bee die from the Detailed Bee Dies. Put it on top of the stamped bee image on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the image is centered. Run through the tool.
Use Black Mini Stampin' Dimensionals from the Black Stampin' Dimensionals Combo Pack to adhere the small bee cut out to the front of the card at a slight angle so it overlaps the upper right side of the honeycomb cut out area on the designer paper.
