Honey Bee Home card |
T
his simple card looks harder than it is.
Cut List:
Soft Succulent Cardstock- 11 x 4-1/4 scored at 5-1/2, and scrap for die cuts about 3 x 3
Basic White- 5-1/4 x 4, 3-5/8 x 4-7/8, 3-1/4 x 4-1/4 for oval, and scrap for bees about 1-1/2 x 3
Fold and burnish along the fold line of your card base.
Stamp the tall flowers randomly along the bottom of the largest white layer in Tuxedo Black ink. Stamp the greeting near the top right hand corner, and the bees on your scrap white as well as the largest bee on the smaller white piece in the upper middle region about 1-1/4" down from the top. Stamp the envelope in the bottom left hand corner with a bee stamp.
Using your Stampin' Blends, color in the flowers with Purple Posy, the stems and leaves in Soft Succulent, and the bees in So Saffron.
Die cut the bees and several pieces of the Soft Succulent long leaves, as well as your oval with the Layering Ovals dies.
Use the Tasteful Textiles embossing folder and run the largest white piece through the Stampin' Cut and Emboss Machine to add texture to the layer. Repeat this process with the Oval.
Adhere the Soft Succulent leaves to the card front as desired. (I cut mine so that they appeared to be behind the flowers.)
Glue the card front to the card base. Use the Foam Adhesive strips to pop up the Oval Frame and adhere it as desired to the card front. Add the bees as desired, and use more of the Foam Adhesive strips to pop them to the same level as the oval.
Adhere the inside Basic white layer inside the card.
