Hey Love Giggle Birds |
P layful card using Stampin' Up! products.

|
|
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Bermuda Bay Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Soft Sea Foam Cardstock
- 3-3/4" x 5" from Whisper White Cardstock
Mount the bird with a heart in his beak image from the Hey Love Set on Block A. Very carefully ink up the bird so you do NOT ink up his feet using the Memento Pad. It's okay if you get a bit of his upper legs, but don't ink up the feet. Stamp the bird near the right edge of the white rectangle about 1-1/2" from the bottom edge. Leave the stamp on the block.
Very carefully ink up the bird again so you do NOT ink up his feet using the Memento Pad. Stamp the bird just to the left of the first bird and a little higher. Leave the stamp on the block.
Very carefully ink up the bird again so you do NOT ink up his feet using the Memento Pad. Stamp the bird just to the left of the second bird and a little lower.
Place the bird stamped white rectangle on top of some paper on your work surface (Grid Paper works great). You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Start coloring with the Stampin' Blends Markers. The markers have a brush tip for coloring in larger areas and a fine tip for coloring in smaller areas. Use the dark colors first and then the light colors to blend the colors and color in the spaces. Work on one area at a time so the inks will be wet and will blend easier.
Use the Light and Dark Bermuda Bay Markers to color in the birds' bodies.
Use the Light and Dark Rich Razzleberry Markers to color in the hearts in the birds' beaks.
Use the Dark Daffodil Delight Marker to color in the birds' beaks.
Use the Dark Soft Sea Foam Marker to hand draw a hill under the birds.
Use the Color Lifter Marker as needed to remove excess ink.
Use the fine tip of the Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker to draw a black line at the top of the hill and add in some grass tufts. Also use it to extend the birds' legs down to the top of the hill. Draw in their feet and add little dots as their knees about half way up their legs.
Mount the sentiment of choice from the Part Of My Story Set on an appropriately sized block. Ink up the entire stamp with the Soft Sea Foam Ink Pad. BEFORE stamping the sentiment, use the brush tip of the Rich Razzleberry and Bermuda Bay Stampin' Write Markers to color directly onto the inked up stamp to change the color of certain parts of the sentiment image. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Stamp the sentiment in the upper left corner of the stamped white rectangle.
Adhere the stamped white rectangle to the Soft Sea Foam rectangle and then to the front of the Bermuda Bay card.
