Hello Ladybug Poppy Bug Friend |
B right and cheery card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Poppy Parade Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" of tiny vanilla dots on pale orange-pink background design from Daffodil Afternoon 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 3-3/4" x 5" from Poppy Parade Cardstock
- 2-1/2" square from Basic White Cardstock
Pick out the grouping of outlined flowers die from the Poppy Moments Dies. Put it on top of the vertical Poppy Parade rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the die is in the lower left corner with the single flower on the bottom and about 1/4" from the bottom and the left edge of the die about 1/4" from the left edge. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick and Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip to remove the pieces.
As you are ready to stamp using the Hello Ladybut Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the sentiment of choice from the Hello Ladybug Set on an appropriate size block. Ink it up with the Poppy Parade Ink Pad. Stamp the sentiment in the lower right corner of the die cut, vertical Poppy Parade rectangle.
Adhere the die cut and stamped Poppy Parade rectangle to the center of the Daffodil Afternoon Designer Paper rectangle.
Cut a 4-3/4" piece of the Pale Papaya & White 1/2" Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the top of the cardstock/designer paper rectangle about 1/2" from the top. Fold the ends of the ribbon over and secure the ribbon in place on the back of the rectangle using strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the designer paper rectangle. Adhere to the front of the Poppy Parade card.
Mount the flying ladybug body image from the Hello Ladybug Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Pale Papaya Ink Pad. Stamp it on the left edge of the white square so the head is pointing down.
Unlock the Ladybug Builder Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped ladybug body into the punch and get it centered in the corresponding punching area. Punch. Save both pieces. Leave the punch unlocked.
Mount the open ladybug wings image from the Hello Ladybug Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Poppy Parade Ink Pad. Stamp it on the right edge of the previously punched white square so the tips of the wings are pointing to the left.
Holding the unlocked Ladybug Builder Punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped ladybug open wings into the punch and get them centered in the corresponding punching area. Punch.
Mount the sets of wing dots image from the Hello Ladybug Set on Block C. Ink them up with the Pale Papaya Ink Pad. Stamp them inside the open dots on the punched out open wings image.
Adhere the open wings punch out to the ladybug body punch out.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the flying ladybug to the front of the card at a slight angle as shown so the bottom of the ladybug overlaps the upper right side of the flowers cut out area.
Cut a 4" piece of the Pale Papaya & White 1/2" Ribbon.
Slide one end of the ribbon under the ribbon already on the card front near the left side. Tie in place with a half knot. Trim the ends.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up three large Mango Melody sequins from a sheet of Artistry Blooms Adhesive-Backed Sequins making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them randomly to the front of the card as shown.
