C ute hello card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Granny Apple Green Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Real Red Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2-1/2" square from Basic White Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Hello Ladybut Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of Grid Paper on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the large leaf image from the Hello Ladybug Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Granny Apple Green Ink Pad. Stamp it several times down the left edge of the large, vertical white rectangle. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Let some of the images go off the left, top, and bottom edges. Change the orientation of the stamp each time. Then, re-ink the stamp one last time and stamp it near the center of the rectangle as shown.
Mount the crawling ladybug image from the Hello Ladybug Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it in the bottom right corner of the leaf stamped, vertical white rectangle.
Mount the crawling ladybug back image from the Hello Ladybug Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it inside the previously stamped crawling ladybug's back.
Mount the sentiment of choice from the Hello Ladybug Set on an appropriate size block. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it in the upper right corner of the vertical white rectangle.
Mount the set of three small flowers image from the Hello Ladybug Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Daffodil Delight Ink Pad. Stamp it several times on the stamped, large, vertical white rectangle in the white spaces around the leaves, bug, and sentiment. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Let some of the images go off the edges. Change the orientation of the stamp each time.
Adhere the stamped white rectangle to the center of the Real Red rectangle.
Cut a 5-3/4" piece of the Real Red 3/8" Faux Linen Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the matted, stamped white rectangle about 1/4" from the left edge. Flip the rectangle over and secure the ends of the ribbon in place with small strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape and add more adhesive to the back of the Real Red rectangle. Adhere it to the front of the Granny Apple Green card.
Cut a 3" piece of the Real Red 3/8" Faux Linen Ribbon.
Slide one end of the ribbon under the ribbon already on the card front near the top. Tie in place with a half knot. Trim the ends.
Mount the flying ladybug body image from the Hello Ladybug Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it on the left edge of the white square so the head is pointing down.
Unlock the Ladybug Builder Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped ladybug body into the punch and get it centered in the corresponding punching area. Punch. Save both pieces. Leave the punch unlocked.
Mount the open ladybug wings image from the Hello Ladybug Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it on the right edge of the previously punched white square so the tips of the wings are pointing to the left..
Holding the unlocked Ladybug Builder Punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped ladybug open wings into the punch and get them centered in the corresponding punching area. Punch.
Mount the sets of wing dots image from the Hello Ladybug Set on Block B. Ink them up with the Memento Ink Pad. Stamp them inside the open dots on the punched out open wings image.
Adhere the open wings punch out to the ladybug body punch out.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the flying ladybug to the front of the card near the center at a slight angle as shown.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up three jewels from a sheet of Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them randomly to the front of the card as shown.
