Heartfelt Lacy Hearts |
F eminine Valentine's card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Blushing Bride Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Real Red Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1" x 3-1/2" of tiny pink hearts on red background design from Snail Mail Designer Series Paper, cut so the hearts are right side up on the horizontal strip
- 2-3/4" x 5" from Basic White Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Heartfelt Photopolymer Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of paper (Grid Paper works great) on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the small doily with little hearts inside image from the Heartfelt Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Blushing Bride Ink Pad. Stamp it down the left side of the large vertical white rectangle repeatedly in two rows. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Change the orientation of the heart every so often. Let some of the images go off the top, left, and bottom edges of the cardstock.
Unlock the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch. Slide the short edge of the Snail Mail Designer Paper strip that will be on the left when the hearts are right side up into the left side of the punch (the side of the punch with the more rounded label top) as far as it will go. Punch.
Adhere the punched strip of designer paper to the stamped white rectangle so the punched edge is on the left and is about 3/4" from the left side. The right, flat end of the designer paper strip should hang over the right edge of the white cardstock. The bottom edge of the designer paper strip should be about 1-1/4" from the bottom edge of the white cardstock.
Use Paper Snips to cut off excess designer paper on the right side of the stamped white cardstock.
Adhere the stamped white rectangle with designer paper attached to the Real Red rectangle and then to the front of the Blushing Bride card.
Mount the large doily double heart image from the Heartfelt Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Blushing Bride Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the remaining white strip.
Unlock the scalloped heart punch from the Heart Punch Pack. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped doily heart image into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Mount the "Happy Valentine's Day" heart image from the Heartfelt Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it on the other end of the white strip.
Unlock the smooth-edged heart punch from the Heart Punch Pack. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped sentiment heart image into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Adhere the large doily double heart punch out to the front of the card so it overlaps the designer paper strip near the punched left edge.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the "Happy Valentine's Day" heart punch out to the front of the card so it overlaps the designer paper strip near the right edge and overlaps the large double doily heart punch out on the right side and is slightly lower.
Cut a 16" piece of the Blushing Bride Twine from the Snail Mail Twine Combo Pack.
Fold the twine in half. Tie a small bow in the center of the folded twine. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the twine bow at a slight angle to the area between the bottom points of the two heart punch outs.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 3 red hearts from a sheet of Resin Hearts making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the front of the card above the heart punch outs in a rough triangle as shown.
