Harvest Hellos Harvest Scene |
F un fall-themed card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a cutting and scoring tool:
- card from Old Olive Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Terracotta Tile Cardstock
- 3-1/8" x 3-5/8" from Old Olive Cardstock
- 3" x 3-1/2" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 2 pieces each 2-1/2" x 4" from Crushed Curry Cardstock
- 2" x 3-1/4" of Terracotta Tile gingham pattern from 2019-2021 In Color 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
- 1" x 3-1/2" from Old Olive Cardstock
- 3/4" x 3" from Old Olive Cardstock
Place the Buffalo Check background stamp rubber side up on Grid Paper on your work surface. Ink up the stamp by pouncing or rubbing the Terracotta Tile Ink Pad all over it. Leave the inked up stamp face up on your work surface. Carefully place the large Terracotta Tile rectangle on the stamp. Fold the Grid Paper up and over the top of everything and rub firmly all over. Using the Grid Paper protects your hands from getting ink on them.
Tip: I just clean my background stamps by running them under water until the water runs clear. Then, I let them air dry.
Adhere the stamped Terracotta Tile rectangle to the front of the Old Olive card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Beautiful Bouquet Photopolymer Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of Grid Paper on top to protect the mat from ink.
Mount the large bunch of stems image from the Beautiful Bouquet Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Crushed Curry Ink Pad. Stamp it on the left side of the vanilla rectangle so it is as close to the top and left sides of the rectangle as possible. The left side of the rectangle should be a 3-1/2" side. Stamp again without re-inking a couple of times so that the subsequent images are slightly offset from the first. It's okay if they go over the left and bottom edges a bit.
Mount the sentiment of choice from the Beautiful Bouquet or Harvest Hellos Set on an appropriately sized block. Ink it up with the Terracotta Tile Ink Pad. Stamp it in the upper right corner of the vanilla rectangle.
Mount the pumpkin image from the Harvest Hellos Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Terracotta Tile Ink Pad. Stamp it on end of the strip of designer paper.
Unlock the Apple Builder Punch. Hold it upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped pumpkin image into the punch and get it centered in the corresponding punching area. Punch. Leave the punch unlocked.
Mount the stem image from the Harvest Hellos Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it on the bottom of the 3/4" x 3" vertical strip of Old Olive Cardstock so the fatter end of the stem is at the top.
Hold the unlocked Apple Builder Punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped stem image into the punch and get it centered in the corresponding punching area. Punch.
Adhere the stem to the back of the pumpkin punch out so the stem is poking out from the top center of the pumpkin a tiny bit.
Pick out bunch of stems die from the Bouquet Bunch Dies. Put it on top of one of the Crushed Curry rectangles on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces. Repeat with the other Crushed Curry rectangle.
Adhere the two bunch of stems cut outs to each other so they are slightly offset.
Tie a small piece of Linen Thread around the center of the layered bunch of stems die cuts using a knot. Trim the ends. Fray the ends a bit.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the bunch of stems die cuts on the left side of the stamped vanilla rectangle and lay the pumpkin punch out on so it just overlaps the right edge of the die cuts and the bottom is near the bottom of the rectangle. Make a tiny dot with a pencil to help you know where to stamp the pumpkin vines. Remove the die cuts and punch out.
Mount the curly vine image from the Harvest Hellos Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it 2 or 3 times so it stars near the pencil mark you made and curls to the left side. Remember to re-ink the stamp if you stamp it a third time.
Now, adhere the bunch of stems die cuts to the left side of the stamped vanilla rectangle so the ends go over the top and left edges.
Adhere the pumpkin punch out to the vanilla rectangle so it will have the curly vines coming out from the top and slightly overlaps the right edge of the bunch of stems die cuts.
Use Paper Snips to fringe one long edge of the 1" x 3-1/2" piece of Old Olive Cardstock. Make sure NOT to cut all the way through. Trim the top of the fringed edge in gentle curves so it is only about 1/2" tall.
Adhere the fringed Old Olive strip to the bottom of the vanilla rectangle so it covers the bottom of the pumpkin and stem die cuts. Trim off excess on the sides.
Adhere the vanilla rectangle to the large Old Olive rectangle.
Adhere the matted vanilla rectangle to the front of the card so the right edge is even with the right edge of the Terracotta Tile layer and the top edge is about 3/4" from the top edge of the card.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a raven shape from the sheet of Monster Bash Enamel Shapes making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the card front so the bird is sitting on the right side of the pumpkin.
Cut a 4" piece of the Terracotta Tile 1/2" Scalloped Linen Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the lower left corner of the matted vanilla rectangle.
