Happy Hedgehogs Two Nice Hedgies |
C ute thank you card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Garden Green Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Soft Succulent Cardstock
- 3-3/4" x 5" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 2" x 4" from Cinnamon Cider Cardstock
- 2 pieces each 1/2" x 3" from Soft Succulent Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Happy Hedgehogs Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the tree image from the Happy Hedgehogs Set on Block I. Ink it up with the Garden Green Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the vanilla rectangle.
Mount the larger hedgehog image from the Happy Hedgehogs Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Early Espresso Ink Pad. Stamp it on the left side of the tree on the vanilla rectangle so the nose touches the trunk and the feet are in line with the bottom of the tree. Leave the stamp on the block.
Re-ink the larger hedgehog image on Block C with the Early Espresso Ink Pad. Stamp it on the right end of the horizontal Cinnamon Cider strip. Leave room to punch it out.
Mount the smaller hedgehog image from the Happy Hedgehogs Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Early Espresso Ink Pad. Stamp it on the right side of the tree on the vanilla rectangle so the back of the hedgie almost touches the right side of the rectangle and the feet are in line with the bottom of the tree. Leave the stamp on the block.
Re-ink the smaller hedgehog image on Block C with the Early Espresso Ink Pad. Stamp it on the other end of the Cinnamon Cider strip.
Use the Cinnamon Cider Marker to color in the trunk of the tree, the bottoms of the hedgehogs, and draw in some dirt below the tree and hedgies.
Use the Soft Succulent Marker to color in the leaves and grass stems.
Use the Early Espresso Marker to make the hedgies' eyes darker and to draw in some lines in the dirt.
Unlock the Banners Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of one of the thin Soft Succulent strips into the right side of the punch (the side of the punch with the inward notched top) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch. Repeat with the other Soft Succulent strip.
Mount the "it's so nice of you to be so nice" sentiment from the Happy Hedgehogs Set on Block G. Carefully ink up the top line "it's so nice of you" ONLY using the brush tip of the Early Espresso Marker. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink and stamp the sentiment on one of the punched Soft Succulent strips so the punched end is on the right side. Stamp as close to the punched end as possible. Clean the stamp using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy, but leave it on the block.
Carefully ink up the bottom line "to be so nice" ONLY on the sentiment on Block G using the brush tip of the Early Espresso Marker. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink and stamp the sentiment on the other punched Soft Succulent strip so the punched end is on the left side. Stamp as close to the punched end as possible.
Adhere the "it's so nice of you" sentiment strip to the top of the vanilla rectangle as shown. Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off excess cardstock on the left side.
Adhere the "to be so nice" sentiment strip to the bottom of the vanilla rectangle as shown. Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off excess cardstock on the right side.
Adhere the vanilla rectangle with sentiment strips attached to the center of the Soft Succulent rectangle and then to the front of the Garden Green card.
Unlock the Hedgehog Builder Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped larger hedgehog into the punch and get the back of the hedgie centered in the top punching area to punch out only his back. Punch.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the punched out back to the top of the larger hedgehog image.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut out the back of the smaller hedgie image.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the cut out back to the top of the smaller hedgie image.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 5 jewels from a sheet of Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them over the centers of the open flowers on the tree image.
