Happy Hedgehogs Take Care |
Q uick and easy get well card using Stampin' Up! products including one that can be earned for FREE during Sale-A-Bration 2022.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Poppy Parade Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Crushed Curry Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of leaves, berries, butterflies, and mushrooms on white background design from Rings Of Love 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut so the stems are vertical on the horizontal rectangle
- 2-1/8" x 3-5/8" from Crushed Curry Cardstock
- 2" x 3-1/2' from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 3-1/2" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" from Soft Suede Cardstock
Adhere the piece of Rings Of Love Designer Paper to the center of the large Crushed Curry rectangle and then to the front of the Poppy Parade card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Happy Hedgehogs Set or Cup Of Tea Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "take care of yourself" sentiment from the Cup Of Tea Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Crushed Curry Ink Pad. Stamp it in the lower right corner of the horizontal 2" x 3-1/2" white rectangle.
Mount the small butterfly image from the Happy Hedgehogs Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Poppy Parade Ink Pad. Stamp it just above the word "care" on the stamped white rectangle.
Squeeze the lid of the Crushed Curry Ink Pad to get ink in the lid. Use a Blender Pen to pick up ink from the pad lid and color in the wings of the stamped butterfly image. Remember to stroke in one direction only or the cardstock will tear and pill up. Scribble on Grid Paper when you are done until no more color is coming off the Blender Pen.
Adhere the stamped and colored white rectangle to the center of the 2-1/8" x 3-5/8" Crushed Curry rectangle.
Cut a 4" piece of the White 3/4" Frayed Ribbon so it has a sharp angle on each end.
Fold the ribbon in half.
Use Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere the folded ribbon to the back of the matted sentiment rectangle so that the angled ends hang down below the left side of the matted sentiment rectangle. Leave the protective backing in place.
Put Stampin' Dimensionals on the back of the matted sentiment rectangle with ribbon attached. Remove the protective backings from the Dimensionals and adhere the matted sentiment rectangle to the front of the card so it is centered side to side and is about 5/8" from the top edge of the card.
Mount the larger hedgehog image from the Happy Hedgehogs Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Soft Suede Ink Pad. Stamp it on the bottom of the vertical Crumb Cake strip so the nose is pointing down. Leave the stamp on the block.
Re-ink the larger hedgehog image on Block C with the Soft Suede Ink Pad. Stamp it on the bottom of the vertical Soft Suede strip so the nose is pointing down and you get his back.
Unlock the Hedgehog Builder Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped larger hedgehog on the Crumb Cake strip into the punch and get it centered in the whole hedgehog punching area. Punch. Leave the punch unlocked.
Holding the unlocked Hedgehog Builder Punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped hedgehog back on the Soft Suede strip into the punch and get the back of the hedgie centered in the top punching area to punch out only his back. Punch.
If needed, use Paper Snips Scissors to trim off excess around the hedgie back punch out.
Adhere the Soft Suede top of the hedgie back punch out to the top of the Crumb Cake hedgie punch out.
Adhere the layered hedgie to the front of the card on the left side of the matted sentiment rectangle as shown so it looks like he is using the words as steps.
Cut a 16" piece of the Sweet Sorbet twine from the 2022-2024 In Color Baker's Twine Pack.
Fold the twine in half. Tie a small bow in the center of the folded twine. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the twine bow to the front of the card so it is on the bottom of the matted sentiment rectangle centered over the pieces of folded Frayed Ribbon.
