Happiest Of Birthdays Freesia Butterfly Day |
P retty card for lots of celebrations using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Basic White Thick Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Fresh Freesia Cardstock
- 2" x 3-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2" x 2-1/2" from Fresh Freesia Cardstock
Insert the large Fresh Freesia rectangle into the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Adhere the dry embossed Fresh Freesia rectangle to the front of the Basic White Thick card.
Mount the "it's your day! enjoy it" or "happy (little-bit-late) birthday" sentiment from the Happiest Of Birthdays Set on Block H. Ink it up wit the Fresh Freesia Ink Pad. Stamp it in the lower right corner of the horizontal white rectangle.
Cut a 9" piece of the Fresh Freesia 3/8" Open Weave Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the center of the back of the horizontal stamped white rectangle so the ribbon makes a loop that sticks out on either side a bit. Use pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive to hold the loops of ribbon in place.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape Adhesive and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the white rectangle as needed. Adhere the stamped rectangle with ribbon attached to the front of the card so it is centered side to side and is about 1" from the top.
Pick out the single, detailed, medium sized butterfly die from the Brilliant Wings Dies. Place the die on top of the Fresh Freesia rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensional on the back of the butterfly cut out in the center of the body to adhere the butterfly cut out to the card front at a slight angle in the upper left corner of the sentiment rectangle as shown.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a Highland Heather pearl from a sheet of Pastel Pearls making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the butterfly cut out.
