Gourd Goodness Pumpkin Vine |
L ovely fall thank you card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" of multicolored leaf stems on vanilla background design from Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper
- 2-3/4" x 4" of Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 2 strips each 1" x 4" of Early Espresso Cardstock
- 2" x 3-1/2" of Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock
- 2" x 3" of Very Vanilla Cardstock
Adhere the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper rectangle to the front of the Lemon Lime Twist card.
As you are ready to stamp on each piece of cardstock using the Gourd Goodness stamps, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the more solid set of 2 pumpkin bottoms image on Block D. Ink it up with the Peekaboo Peach Ink Pad. Stamp it on the left side along the bottom of the larger vanilla rectangle.
Mount the more detailed set of 2 pumpkin bottoms image on Block D. Ink it up with the Tangerine Tango Ink Pad. Stamp it over the previously stamped pumpkins.
Use the brush tip of the Daffodil Delight Marker to color in the blank spaces on the pumpkins.
Mount the taller, more solid stem image on Block A. Ink it up with the Lemon Lime Twist Ink Pad. Stamp it on top of the smaller pumpkin.
Mount the shorter, more solid stem image on Block A. Ink it up with the Lemon Lime Twist Ink Pad. Stamp it on top of the larger pumpkin.
Mount the taller, more detailed stem image on Block A. Ink it up with the Garden Green Ink Pad. Stamp it over the stem already stamped on top of the smaller pumpkin.
Mount the shorter, more detailed stem image on Block A. Ink it up with the Garden Green Ink Pad. Stamp it over the stem already stamped on top of the larger pumpkin.
Mount the more solid, bumpy gourd image on Block B. Ink it up with the Crushed Curry Ink Pad. Stamp it on one side of the smaller rectangle of Very Vanilla Cardstock.
Mount the more detailed, bumpy gourd image on Block B. Ink it up with the Cajun Craze Ink Pad. Stamp it over the previously stamped bumpy gourd image.
Mount the more solid, round gourd image on Block B. Ink it up with the Lemon Lime Twist Ink Pad. Stamp it on the other side of the smaller vanilla rectangle.
Mount the more detailed, round gourd image on Block B. Ink it up with the Garden Green Ink Pad. Stamp it over the previously stamped round gourd image.
Use the brush tip of the Daffodil Delight Marker to color in the blank spaces on the gourds.
Cut out the gourds by hand using Paper Snips.
Pick out the "friend" thinlit from the Lovely Words Thinlits. Place the Lemon Lime Twist rectangle on the Precision Base Plate on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the Lovely Words Thinlit on top so the word will be cut out. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot a couple of times. Use the Die Brush to remove the pieces and Paper Snips to cut off any excess cardstock as needed.
Tip: If you prefer to use the word "hugs" or the word "lovely," you can use those Lovely Words Thinlits instead. You'll just leave off the stamped sentiment in the next step.
Without adhering it, lay the word cut out on the vanilla layer with the pumpkins stamped on it so that the end of the word goes off the right side of the rectangle and the word goes across the middle of the small pumpkin image. Mount the "why, thank you" sentiment on Block G. Ink it up with the Cajun Craze Ink Pad and stamp it on the vanilla rectangle so it is just above the word cut out.
Tip: If you are using the "lovely" or "hugs" cut out words, then skip this step.
Place the word cut out upside down on one side of a Silicone Craft Sheet. Cut a Stamping Sponge into quarters and clamp the triangle edge of one quarter in a large binder clip. Squeeze a small amount of Multipurpose Liquid Glue on one corner of the Silicone Craft Sheet. Dab the sponge into the glue and then lightly onto the back of the word cut out. Flip the word cut out over and adhere it to the vanilla layer with the pumpkins stamped on it so that the end of the word goes off the right side of the rectangle and the word goes across the middle of the small pumpkin image.
Tip: If you are using the "friend" word cut out, then make sure you adhere it under the stamped sentiment from the previous step.
Use Paper Snips to trim off excess cardstock from the end of the word cut out.
Unlock the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch. Slide one long side of one of the 1" strips of Early Espresso Cardstock into the punch so it butts up against the guide at the back of the punch. Punch. Slide the punched cardstock over a little bit and line up the punched area with the silver design printed on the base of the punch. Punch again. Repeat until the entire length has been punched. Repeat with the other long strip of Early Espresso Cardstock.
Tip: I sometimes find it easier to line things up with this punch if I turn the punch over so I can see the punching area. I then line up the punched areas with the designs of the punch before punching again.
Adhere the punched strips of Early Espresso to the top and bottom of the stamped vanilla strip so the tiny scallops just peek out from behind the vanilla strip.
Adhere the matted vanilla strip to the front of the card so the top is about 3/4" from the top of the designer paper layer.
Pick out a Boxwood Wreath Embellishment and uncurl it. Cut it in half. Put one half back in the box to be used on a future project.
Put Mini Glue Dots on the backs of three leaves of the piece of Boxwood Wreath Embellishment, one near each end and one in the middle.
Adhere the piece of Boxwood Wreath Embellishment to the card front so it arches over the words and ends near the bottom center of the bigger pumpkin.
Adhere the cut out bumpy gourd image to the left side of the larger pumpkin using SNAIL.
Adhere the cut out round gourd image to the card front using a Stampin' Dimensional so it covers the end of the Boxwood Wreath Embellishment.
