Good Morning Magnolia Terracotta Wall Flower |
P retty thinking of you card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a cutting and scoring tool:
- card from Terracotta Tile Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 4-1/2" square from Mossy Meadow Cardstock
- 3-1/2" square from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 3-1/4" from Terracotta Tile Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 4" of white leaves on green background design from Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper
Place the large Very Vanilla rectangle on some Grid Paper on your work surface. Pick out the brick wall mask from the Pattern Party Decorative Masks. Place it over the cardstock so it covers the top 2/3 of the cardstock.
Tip: If desired, use pieces of washi tape to hold the cardstock and mask in place. Just make sure they don't cover anywhere that you want to have the pattern.
Rub a sponge quarter across the open Terracotta Tile Ink Pad to get it inky. Then, daub or rub it over the mask on top of the cardstock. Get more ink on the sponge quarter as needed.
Tip: Cut a Stamping Sponge into quarters. This makes it easier to control the sponge when using it and gives you more sponge pieces to work with.
Tip: I just clean my sponges when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
Tip: I also clean the masks by running them under water until no more color is coming off and then letting them air dry.
Adhere the piece of Magnolia Lane Designer Paper to the bottom of the stenciled vanilla rectangle.
Cut a 4-1/2" piece of Very Vanilla 3/8" Scalloped Lace Trim.
Lay the lace trim across the matted cardstock/designer paper rectangle so it covers the seam between the two pieces. Flip the cardstock over and fold the ends of the lace trim over. Adhere the ends of the lace trim in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add more SNAIL to the back of the Very Vanilla cardstock. Adhere it to the front of the Terracotta Tile card.
Mount the large magnolia blossom surrounded by leaves image from the Good Morning Magnolia Set on Block F. Ink it up with the Mossy Meadow Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Mossy Meadow square. Clean the stamp using the Simply Shammy and/or Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub, but leave it on the block.
Pick out the large blossom and leaves die from the Magnolia Memory Dies. Put it on top of the stamped magnolia and leaves image on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so it is centered over the image. Run through the tool.
Re-ink the large magnolia surrounded by leaves image using the Early Espresso Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the vanilla square so you get the flower portion of the image. Clean the stamp and put it away.
Use a Blender Pen to pick up ink from the lid of the Terracotta Tile Ink Pad to add some color to the folded edges and creases of the stamped flower image. Remember to stroke in one direction only so that the cardstock doesn't pill and tear. Clean the Blender Pen by scribbling on Grid Paper until no more color comes off.
Cut out the flower image by hand using Paper Snips.
Adhere the cut out flower to the center of the flower and leaves cut out.
Adhere the flower and leaves cut out to the front of the card so the big bottom leaf overlaps the ribbon a bit on the left side.
Mount the "thinking of you," "thanks," or "hello" sentiment from the Good Morning Magnolia Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Mossy Meadow Ink Pad. Stamp it on the strip of Terracotta Tile Cardstock.
Unlock the Timeless Label Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped sentiment in and get it lined up in the center of the punching area. Punch.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment punch out to the front of the card so it is centered over the lace trim on the right side and covers the stem of the main image.
Cut a 4" piece of Very Vanilla 3/8" Scalloped Lace Trim.
Tie a half knot in the center. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the lace trim knot to the center of the left side of the sentiment punch out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a large gem from a sheet of Gold Faceted Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the flower.
