Friends For Life Green Leaf Birthday

Supplies needed:

Project Recipe:

1. Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
   - card from Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
   - 4" x 5-1/4" from Old Olive Cardstock
   - 2-1/8" x 4-1/8" of yellow lattice pattern on light green background design from Flowering Zinnia 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
   - 2" x 4" of light green diagonal stripes on dark green background design from Flowering Zinnia 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper with a leaf shape cut out of the center and Adhesive Sheets on the back, this was saved after making a previous card
   - 1-1/2" x 2-1/2" from Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock
   - 1-3/4" x 3" from Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock
   - 1-5/8" x 2-7/8" from Adhesive Sheets

2. As you are ready to stamp using the Friends For Life Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of Grid Paper on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.

3. Mount the leaf sprig image from the Friends For Life Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it randomly all over the Old Olive rectangle. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Let some of the images go off the edges of the cardstock and rotate the angle of the stamp each time.

4. Adhere the stamped Old Olive rectangle to the front of the Lemon Lime Twist card.

5. Carefully remove the protective backing from the back of the diagonal stripes Flowering Zinnia Designer Paper rectangle with the leaf shape cut out of the center saved from making a previous card. Adhere it to the lattice pattern Flowering Zinnia Designer Paper at a slight angle as shown.

6. Adhere the layered designer paper rectangles to the front of the card as shown so they are centered top to bottom and the left edge of the lattice paper is straight and about 1/2" from the left side of the card.

7. Mount the "Happy Birthday" sentiment from the Friends For Life Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 1-1/2" x 2-1/2" Lemon Lime Twist rectangle.

8. Pick out the smallest rectangle with notched edges die from the Something Fancy Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the sentiment. Run through the machine.

9. Use the side of the brush tip of the Old Olive Stampin' Write Marker to carefully outline the edges of the sentiment label cut out.

10. Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the outlined sentiment label cut out to the front of the card as shown so it overlaps the bottom right side of the designer paper rectangles and is about 1" from the bottom of the card and 1/2" from the right side of the card.

11. Peel the protective backing off of the Adhesive Sheets rectangle. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets rectangle to one side of the 1-3/4" x 3" Lemon Lime Twist rectangle. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.

12. Pick out the large, detailed leaf die from the Friends For Life Dies. Put it on top of the Lemon Lime Twist rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the Adhesive Sheets side is face up. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.

    Note: By cutting the image out with the Adhesive Sheets side face up, the leaves will be facing the other way when you peel off the protective backing and adhere them.

13. Trim off excess stem and leaves on the bottom of the detailed leaf cut out so you only have the top 3 leaves and a bit of stem.

14. Carefully remove the protective backing from the back of the cut down detailed leaf cut out. Adhere it to the front of the card as shown so the stem is tucked under the upper left side of the sentiment label cut out.

15. Cut an 16" long piece of the Lemon Lolly twine included in the Baker's Twine Three Color Pack.

16. Fold the twine in half. Tie a small bow in the center of the folded twine. Trim the ends.

17. Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the twine bow to the front of the card as shown so it overlaps the bottom left corner of the sentiment label cut out.

18. Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 small and 2 large Lemon Lime Twist gems from a sheet of Tinsel Gems Four-Pack making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the front of the card around the detailed leaf cut out sticking out to the right side of the designer paper rectangles above the sentiment label cut out.
