Framed Florets Splendid Birthday |
P retty birthday card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Soft Sea Foam Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Pool Party Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of bokeh light blue dots on white background design from Splendid Day 12" x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 1-3/8" x 5-1/8" of white leaves on shiny Soft Sea Foam background design from Splendid Day 12" x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 3-1/4" x 4" from Soft Sea Foam Cardstock
- 3-1/4" x 4" from Pool Party Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 5-3/4" from Soft Sea Foam Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 2-1/2" of bokeh light blue dots on white background design from Splendid Day 12" x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 1-1/2" square of white leaves on shiny Soft Sea Foam background design from Splendid Day 12" x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper
Adhere the strip of white leaves on shiny Soft Sea Foam background design Splendid Day Designer Paper to the large, vertical bokeh blue dots Splendid Day Designer Paper on the right side so it is about 7/8" from the right edge. The top and bottom edges will be even.
Adhere the layered designer paper rectangle to the center of the large Pool Party rectangle and then to the front of the Soft Sea Foam card.
Pick out the open oval with hatch marks along the edge die from the Framed Florets Dies. Put it on top of the 3-1/4" x 4" Soft Sea Foam rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces as needed. Leave the die out.
Note: You are using the hatch marked oval frame cut out in Soft Sea Foam for this project. Keep the solid oval in Soft Sea Foam for use on another project.
Put the open oval with hatch marks along the edge die on top of the 3-1/4" x 4" Pool Party rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces as needed.
Note: You are using the solid oval in Pool Party cut out for this project. Keep the hatch marked oval frame cut out in Pool Party for use on another project.
As you are ready to stamp using the Framed Florets Set, place the cardstock or designer paper on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "Wishes for a beautiful birthday" sentiment from the Framed Florets Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Pool Party Ink Pad. Stamp it as close as possible to the top of the vertical, solid Pool Party oval cut out.
Adhere the sentiment stamped, solid Pool Party oval cut out to the front of the card so it is centered over the strip of white leaves on shiny Soft Sea Foam designer paper near the top. Leave room to adhere the open oval with hatch marks along the edge around it.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the Soft Sea Foam open oval with hatch marks along the edge to the card front so it is centered around the solid Pool Party oval.
Pick out the long group of leaves die from the Framed Florets Dies. Put it on one end of the 1-3/4" x 5-3/4" Soft Sea Foam rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces, Repeat on the other end of the rectangle so you have two groups of leaves cut outs.
Mount the larger, single flower image from the Framed Florets Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Pool Party Ink Pad and stamp it on one end of the 1-1/2" x 2-1/2" bokeh blue dots strip of designer paper. Leave room to stamp the smaller flower and to cut it out.
Mount the smaller, single flower image from the Framed Florets Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Pool Party Ink Pad and stamp it on the other end of the 1-1/2" x 2-1/2" bokeh blue dots strip of designer paper. Leave room to cut the images out.
Pick out both matching,single flower dies from the Framed Florets Dies. Put them on top of the stamped flower images on the designer paper on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so they are centered over the images. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the machine.
Pick out one of the small, solid leaf dies that cuts out a detailed leaf that curves up from the Framed Florets Dies. Put it on top of the small designer paper square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces,
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the die cuts and an Open Leaf Trinket on the card front to figure out spacing and placement.
When happy with the placement and spacing, adhere everything in place. Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the fine leaf cut outs in place. Use Mini Glue Dots to adhere the Open Leaf Trinket in place. Use Stampin' Seal to adhere the small flower cut out in place, Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the large flower cut out in place.
Cut a 10" piece of the Soft Sea Foam 3/8" Seam Binding Ribbon.
Tie a small bow in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon bow to the front of the card as shown so it is centered near the bottom of the oval frame cut out.
