Flowering Tulips Triptych Tulip Thoughts |
P retty thinking of you card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Poppy Parade Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 5" of rows of multicolor tulips design from Flowering Fields 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut so the tulips are vertical on the vertical rectangle
- 2" x 10" from Basic White Cardstock
Adhere the strip of Flowering Fields Designer Paper to the left side of the vertical 4" x 5-1/4" white rectangle so about 1/8" of white shows on the top, left, and bottom edges.
Adhere the white/designer paper rectangle to the front of the Poppy Parade card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Flowering Tulips Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "Just thinking of you today" sentiment from the Flowering Tulips Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Poppy Parade Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of one end of the horizontal white rectangle leaving room to cut it out and stamp flowers to the side of it.
Mount the complete, closed tulip image from the Flowering Tulips Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Calypso Coral Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the horizontal white rectangle just to the side of the sentiment, leaving room to cut it out and stamp more flowers.
Mount the more solid open tulip image from the Flowering Tulips Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Poppy Parade Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the horizontal white rectangle just to the side of the closed tulip image, leaving room to cut it out and stamp another flower. Leave the stamp on the block.
Re-ink the more solid open tulip image on Block B with the Poppy Parade Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the horizontal white rectangle on the other end just to the side of the first open tulip image, leaving room to cut it out.
Mount the "v" shaped open petal image from the Flowering Tulips Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Poppy Parade Ink Pad. Stamp it over the top of the closed tulip image on the white strip.
Mount the more open full tulip image from the Flowering Tulips Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Calypso Coral Ink Pad. Stamp it over the top of one of the open Poppy Parade flowers on the white strip. Re-ink the stamp and stamp it over the top of the other open Poppy Parade flower on the white strip.
Mount the small tulip center image from the Flowering Tulips Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Calypso Coral Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of one of the open tulip images. Re-ink the stamp and stamp it in the center of the other open tulip image.
Pick out the square die that cuts out a 1-1/2" square from the Stylish Shapes Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the sentiment is centered in the die. Run through the machine. Put the die on top of each of the flower images in turn so it is centered over the flowers. Run through the machine each time.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the flower square cut outs on the card front on the white portion on the right side to figure out spacing and placement. The closed tulip should be in the center and slightly closer to the designer paper. Once happy with the arrangement, adhere the squares in place one at a time.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment square cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the right side of the designer paper and the left sides of the top open flower square and the center closed flower square.
Cut an 8" piece of the White 1/4" Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon.
Tie a small bow in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon bow to the front of the card at a slight angle so it is centered over the bottom left corner of the sentiment square.
