Fine Art Floral Thinking of you |
|
T his card I made into a Sympathy card. We all need sympathy cards at sometime in our life unfortunately. When you do need one this would make a beautiful card for that occasion.
|
Card Base: Cut 8 ½” X 11” paper in half lengthwise . You now have two pieces 11” X 4-1/4”. Fold one of the pieces in half lengthwise for your card front. The card front now measures 4 ¼” X 5 ½”.
Now add a piece of terra-cotta tile paper cut 4"x 5-1/4". I then stamped the large flower from the Fine Art Floral Suite in Terra- cotta tile ink. So we have a tone on tone affect for the card front.
Cut a piece of basic white cardstock at 2-7/8"x 4". I then glued a piece of design series paper that was from the 2019-2021 In color 6x6 paper cut down to 3-7/8"x2-3/4". If you do not have that designer series paper pack look for a piece that coordinates with the terra cotta tile color. Then cut a piece of Golden Garden Designer Specialty Paper the same size as the terra cotta designer series paper 3-7/8"x 2-3/4". I adhered the acetate using tombow glue behind where the flower will cover it up so you do not see the glue thru the acetate.
Add your gold banner cut from the gold foil sheet paper. 5/8"x4-1/4" then I added a piece of the Fine Art Ribbon at 4-1/2" I adhered the ribbon with tear and tape to the gold strip and then popped the two layers up using dimensional dots also. I put this layer down and the added the flowers so I could put the gold banner under the flowers.
I stamped the flowers using Petal pink for the larger image of the flower and then Terra cotta tile for the highlighted flower. The stem was stamped in Old olive. The smaller flower was stamped in Balmy Blue and then in Pretty Peacock. Then I stamped one entire flower in old olive. Fussy cut the blue flower and glue them onto the all old olive stamped flower. You now have the green stems and a colored flower. It looks more realistic.
I have a cut the gold leafing out of a retired die set but Stampin Up has several current sets that would work with this technique. Once you have chosen you dies, you will take a piece of basic white cardstock and add an adhesive sheet to it. Then die cut you stems out. Once you have them cut out, Peel the adhesive sheet off and add some of the glided leafing to the image and you will have a beautiful element to add to your card. You will adhere the largest flower down using your favorite adhesive, Be sure to add some of the gold leafing underneath the largest flower. Then pop up the smaller flower using dimensionals, I also add some of the gold leafing underneath the smaller flower also.
I then used the many messages stamp set and dies to stamp and cut out the sentiment I added to the card. You can change this sentiment to make it for any occasion.
The final touch for the front of your card is to add the embellishments. I added a gold ribbon from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo pack

Don't forget to decorate the inside of your card. You just stamped a flower on the inside and you can either leave it blank or pick you favorite sentiment that reflects what you want to say. I also stamped the same image on the envelope. Thanks for stopping bye. I hope you enjoyed this card. I have created a short video using a similar design. So be sure to check out my YouTube channel.
