Fabulous Flamingo Berry Awesome
S imple, pretty card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Pool Party Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Bermuda Bay Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 3-3/4" of the Berry Burst ombre design from the Color Theory Designer Series Paper Stack
- 1" x 5-1/4" of the Soft Sky chevrons design from the Foil Frenzy Specialty Designer Series Paper, cut so the chevrons are running vertically
- 1" x 2" from Pool Party Cardstock
Adhere the strip of Foil Frenzy Designer Paper to the Bermuda Bay rectangle about 1/4" in from the left side.
Mount the outline flamingo body image from the Fabulous Flamingo Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Basic Black Archival Ink Pad. Stamp it on the rectangle of Color Theory Designer Paper so that the top of the flamingo's head is as close to the top of the paper as you can get it.
Mount the outline flamingo legs image from the Fabulous Flamingo Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Basic Black Archival Ink Pad. Stamp the legs below the center of the bird's body.
Adhere the stamped Color Theory Designer Paper rectangle to the Bermuda Bay layer so it overlaps the Foil Frenzy Designer Paper strip by about 3/8".
Cut a 6" piece of Bermuda Bay 3/8" Mini Chevron Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon piece across the Bermuda Bay layer so it covers the seam between the two designer paper pieces. Flip the Bermuda Bay layer over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere the ends of the ribbon in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add more SNAIL to the back of the cardstock. Adhere the Bermuda Bay layer to the front of the Pool Party card.
Mount either the "thanks" sentiment or the "that was awesome" sentiment from the Fabulous Flamingo Set on Block B.
If you use the "thanks" sentiment, just ink it up with the Basic Black Archival Ink Pad and stamp it in the center of the small piece of Pool Party Cardstock.
If you use the "that was awesome" sentiment, then ink up only the word "awesome" using the brush tip of the Basic Black Marker. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink and stamp it in the center of the Pool Party Cardstock.
Pick out the small round ends banner framelit from the Bunch of Banners Framelits. Place the stamped sentiment on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the banner framelit on top so it is centered over the sentiment. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the sentiment banner to the card front so it overlaps the lower right side of the Color Theory Designer Paper piece about halfway through the banner.
Pick out two tiny iridescent sequins from the Metallics Sequin Assortment. Put a tiny drop of Fine-Tip Glue Pen on either end of the sentiment banner and place the sequins on top. Allow them to dry.
