Everyday Arches Starry Skles |
G raduation or encouragement card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Balmy Blue Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Misty Moonlight Cardstock
- 1-1/4" of tiny light blue stars on dark blue design from Everyday Skies 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
- 2-1/4" x 3-1/2" from Balmy Blue Cardstock
Insert the large Misty Moonlight rectangle into the Starstruck Embossing Folder so about 1-1/2" of the cardstock hangs out the bottom edge. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure it is lined up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Adhere the strip of Everyday Skies Designer Paper to the smooth edge of the dry embossed Misty Moonlight rectangle.
Cut a 4-3/4" piece of the Silver & White 1/2" Sheer Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the designer paper/cardstock rectangle so it hides the seam between the two pieces. Fold the ends of the ribbon over and secure the ribbon in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the Misty Moonlight rectangle. Adhere to the front of the Balmy Blue card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Everyday Arches Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the arching "reach for the stars" sentiment from the Everyday Arches Set on Block C. Pick out the arch die that measures 1-5/8" across from the Everyday Arches Dies. Lay the die on top of the stamp mounted on the block to make sure it is curved properly. If necessary, realign the stamp on the block so it is curved properly to fit inside the die.
Ink up the sentiment with the Night Of Navy Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the horizontal Balmy Blue rectangle so the curved end of the sentiment is near the left edge.
Put the die on top of the stamped sentiment rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the curved end of the sentiment. Run through the machine.
Mount the two small stars image from the Everyday Arches Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Night Of Navy Ink Pad. Stamp it below the stamped words on the arch cut out a few times. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time.
Adhere the arch cut to the front of the card as shown so it is tucked under the ribbon on the card front on the right end.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the Silver & White 1/2" Sheer Ribbon.
Slide one end of the ribbon under the ribbon already on the card front. Tie in place with a half knot so it is centered over the right end of the arch cut out. Trim the ends.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 small and 2 large gems from a sheet of Two Tone Sparkle Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the front of the card as shown.
