Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Cajun Craze Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Garden Green Cardstock
- 1-3/8" x 2-7/8" from Cajun Craze Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 2-3/4" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 2-1/2" square from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 2" x 4" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
If you haven't already done so, use the White Craft Ink Refill to ink up the Uninked Ink Pad.
Open the Simple Stripes Embossing Folder in front of you. Lightly rub the open Whisper White Craft Ink Pad over the inside of the back flap (the one that has raised lines on the inside and does NOT have the "Sizzix" and "Stampin' Up!" logos on it). You are just trying to get a little ink on the raised lines.
Place the Garden Green rectangle into the Simple Stripes Embossing Folder so the lines run vertically across the rectangle. Place the folder with the card stock inside on top of a Cutting Pad on your Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Make sure the embossing folder does NOT hang out over the edges of the platform or it will catch the edges of the Big Shot as you crank it through which could damage your folder and Big Shot. Place another Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot. You should have indented white lines embossed on the cardstock.
Adhere the Garden Green rectangle to the front of the Cajun Craze card.
Mount the "You're awesome" sentiment from the Epic Celebrations Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Cajun Craze Ink Pad. Stamp it in the upper right corner of the 1-1/4" x 2-3/4" Very Vanilla strip.
Adhere the stamped vanilla strip to the Cajun Craze strip.
Adhere the matted sentiment to the card front about 7/8" in from the right and bottom sides of the green layer.
Mount the shoes image from the Epic Celebrations Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Soft Suede Ink Pad. Stamp in the center of the vanilla square.
Squeeze the lid of the Cajun Craze Ink Pad to get a pool of ink in the lid. Open the pad but leave the lid exposed. Use a Blender Pen to pick up some ink from the puddle in the lid and color in parts of the shoes. Pick up more ink from the pad lid as needed. Remember to stroke the Blender Pen in one direction only. If you go back and forth, then the card stock could start to pill and tear. Scribble on Grid Paper to clean the tip of the Blender Pen until no more color is coming off.
Use Paper Snips to cut out the shoes by hand.
Adhere the cut out shoes to the card front on the left side so they overlap the bottom left corner of the matted sentiment a bit.
Mount the whole lemon image from the Lemon Zest Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Cajun Craze Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the remaining strip of vanilla cardstock. Clean the stamp using the Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub, but leave it on the block.
Ink the lemon stamp up again using the Soft Suede Ink Pad. Stamp it over the top of the previously stamped lemon. It does NOT have to be perfectly lined up. Clean the stamp and put it away.
Unlock the 1-3/4" Circle Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped lemon into the punch. Line up the bottom edge of the stamped lemon with the bottom curve of the circle in the punching area. Punch. Keep both pieces.
Use Paper Snips to cut a long, thin strip off the vanilla cardstock that has the circle punched out of it. Put a little dab of SNAIL Adhesive on one end of the strip. Adhere it to the back of the circle punch out with part of the lemon stamped on it. This gives you a handle to use to maneuver the circle inside the punch in the next step.
Use the handle to slide the punched out circle back into the open punch while holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Maneuver the circle around in the punching area until you have a football shaped area of the stamped area showing in the punching area. Punch. Keep the football shape and throw the rest away. If necessary, peel up the bit of cardstock handle still stuck to the back of the football.
Mount the small stem image from the Cool Treats Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Soft Suede Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the football shape as a stitch. Stamp the image a couple more times on each side of the first stitch. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time and make sure the stitches are all facing the same direction.
Tip: Be very careful when cleaning this little stamp with the Stampin' Scrub. If you scrub too hard, the stamp can come off the block and go flying! Since it is photopolymer and completely clear, it can be very difficult to find!
Use the fine tip of the Soft Suede Marker to draw the long stitch down the center of the football.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the football to the front of the card at a slight angle so it overlaps the bottom of the sentiment rectangle on the left side and overlaps the toe of the one shoe on the right side a bit.
Carefully remove a silver star from a sheet of Metallic Enamel Shapes making sure you get the adhesive as well as the star. Adhere it to the upper left corner of the sentiment strip.
