Eden's Garden Green Friendship |
P retty friendship card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Foil Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Old Olive Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 3" x 5-1/2" of light green plants on green washed background design from Dainty Flowers 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut so the plants are vertical on the vertical rectangle
- 1" x 6" from Mossy Meadow Cardstock
- 1/4" x 5-1/4" from Gold 12" x 12" Foil Sheets
- 2-1/4" x 4-1/2" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 2" x 2-3/4" from Mossy Meadow Cardstock
Fold the Old Olive card in half to figure out which side is the front of the card. Now, unfold the card and place the card on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface.
Mount one of the smaller leaf sprig images from the Eden's Garden Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it down the right edge of the Old Olive card front multiple times. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Let some of the images go off the edge of the card and change the orientation a bit each time.
Pick out the long, skinny leaf vine die from the Eden Dies. Put it on top of the long skinny strip of Mossy Meadow on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the tips of the leaves and berries almost touch one long edge of the strip. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Adhere the leaf vine cut out to the back of the vertical Dainty Flowers Designer Paper along the right edge so a small amount of Mossy Meadow shows between the stitching cut into the cut out and the right edge of the designer paper. Make sure the plants are right side up on the designer paper.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off any excess Mossy Meadow cut out strip on the top and/or bottom edges.
Adhere the layered designer paper/cut out strip to the front of the stamped Old Olive card so the left edge of the designer paper is even with the left edge of the card front. The top and bottom edges will also be even.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the thin strip of Gold Foil Sheet to the front of the card so it is half way over the right edge of the designer paper. There should be about 1/8" gap at the top and bottom.
Mount the "Dear Friend How are you?" sentiment from the Eden's Garden Set on Block H. Use the side of the brush tip of the Mossy Meadow Marker to ink up only the words "Dear Friend." Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Stamp the sentiment in the center of the Very Vanilla rectangle.
Pick out the long, skinny label with leafy ends die from the Eden Dies. Put it on top of the stamped vanilla strip on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the sentiment will be in the center. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment label strip to the front of the card so it is about 3/4" from the bottom.
Pick out the leaf sprig die from the Eden Dies. Put it on top of one side of the small Mossy Meadow rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces. Repeat on the other side of the rectangle so you have two leaf sprig cut outs.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the leaf sprig cut outs to the front of the card as shown so the bottoms of the stems are tucked under the upper left side of the sentiment label cut out.
Cut a 3" piece of the Old Olive ribbon from the Old Olive & Sahara Sand Twill Ribbon Combo Pack.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card so it is tucked into the curve on the bottom left side of the sentiment label cut out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 3 different size gold sequins from the sheet of Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins making sure you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them in a rough triangle on the top of the designer paper on the card front as shown.
