Easel Cards |
T hese easel cards can double as Thanksgiving decorations. They may look complicated, but you'll find they are actually fairly easy to make. Give them a try.

Cut and Score all pieces. Burnish well on score lines.
Using the Scalloped Contours Dies, cut out the 3rd largest rectangle for the front of the card. You will also use the smallest rectangle for inside the card. Since you will be covering the gold foil with a piece of white cardstock, you can cut the smaller piece from the middle of the larger one. This will make your materials last longer.
Using snips, or a corner rounder punch, round all the corners of the card base, the card front, inside piece, and DSP. Don't forget to fold the card base and round the top corners of the folded edge.
Adhere the front of the card to the card base at the score line and below. Do not adhere above the score line or you will have a regular card rather than an easel (see photo example.)
Adhere the DSP to the front of the card and the white cardstock to the inside of the card.
Stamp your sentiment to the white tags before mounting them on the gold foil mats.
Mount the large sentiment to the front of the card. The smaller sentiment will be mounted with dimensionals at the lower edge inside the card. This provides the resting place for the easel.
Using embellishments, ribbon, die cuts, etc. decorate your card as desired.
