F un birthday card using Stampin' Up! products and the paper piecing technique.

- card from Highland Heather Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 4" of multi-colored dots on white background design from Cute Halloween 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
- 1-1/2" x 2-1/2" of multi-colored thin stripes on white background design from Cute Halloween 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper, cut so the stripes are horizontal on the vertical strip
- 2-3/8" x 2-5/8" from Highland Heather Cardstock]
- 2-1/4" x 2-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 2-1/2" of multi-colored dots on white background design from Cute Halloween 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
Adhere the large rectangle of dotted Cute Halloween Designer Paper to the bottom of the large, vertical white rectangle.
Adhere the strip of striped Cute Halloween Designer Paper to the center of the dotted paper on the white rectangle so it is vertical.
Cut a 4-1/2" piece of the Highland Heather 1/2" Grosgrain Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the designer paper/cardstock rectangle so it covers the seam between the designer papers and cardstock. Fold the ends of the ribbon over and secure the ribbon in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the white rectangle. Adhere to the front of the Highland Heather card.
Mount the van image from the Driving By Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it on the top of the horizontal, small white rectangle so it is centered side to side and about 1/4" from the top. Leave the stamp on the block.
Re-ink the van image on Block D with the Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it on the small piece of dotted Cute Halloween Designer Paper.
Mount the "HB2U" sentiment from the Nuts & Bolts Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Highland Heather Ink Pad. Stamp it just below the stamped van on the white rectangle so it is centered side to side.
Put the stamped van and sentiment white rectangle on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Use the Dark Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Blends to color in the hubcaps and small lights on the front and back of the van.
Use the Dark Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends to color in the tires.
Use the Light Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends to color in the muffler and tire rims.
Adhere the stamped and colored white rectangle to the center of the Highland Heather rectangle.
Adhere the matted van rectangle to the front of the card so it is centered side to side and the bottom is fairly even with the bottom of the ribbon.
Put the van stamped on the dotted designer paper on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Use the tip of one of the blades of the Paper Snips Scissors to poke holes in the back and middle windows.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to carefully cut out the windows of the van. Then, cut out the rest of the van. Cut off the lights on the front and back, the muffler, and the tires.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the cut out dotted van image over the top of the van image on the card front so all the lines match up.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the Highland Heather 1/2" Grosgrain Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card so it is centered over the bottom of the matted van image rectangle.
