Dressed To Impress Sparkle Shoes |
P retty thank you card using Stampin' Up! products including one that can be earned for FREE during Sale-A-Bration 2020.
Cut cardstock and vellum designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Pool Party Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of Pool Party vellum from So Very Vellum Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 2-1/2" x 3" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2 pieces each 1-3/4" square from Mint Macaron Cardstock
Use Mini Glue Dots behind some of the dots in the centers of the squares in the corners of the back of the So Very Vellum rectangle to adhere it to the large white rectangle.
As you are ready to stamp using the Dressed To Impress Photopolymer Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "kindness is always in style" or "hello fabulous!" sentiment from the Dressed To Impress Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Pool Party Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 2-1/2 x 3" white strip at the bottom when the strip is vertical.
Unlock the Label Me Fancy Punch. Hold the punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped sentiment into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch. Leave the punch unlocked.
Slide one short edge of the sentiment punch out into the side of the Label Me Fancy Punch that punches out a small circle. Get the punching area centered on the punch out and punch. Be careful not to punch too far into the punch out or you will punch out part of the sentiment. Repeat with the other short edge of the sentiment punch out.
Cut a 6" piece of the Mint Macaron 1/8" Sheer Linen Ribbon.
Thread the sentiment punch out onto the ribbon and get it centered on the right side of the ribbon.
Lay the ribbon with sentiment punch out threaded on it across the matted designer paper vellum/cardstock rectangle so the bottom of the ribbon is about 1-1/4" from the bottom edge. Secure the ribbon in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add SNAIL to the back of the Whisper White rectangle. Adhere the rectangle to the front of the Pool Party card.
Mount the high heel shoe image from the Dressed To Impress Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Shaded Spruce Ink Pad. Stamp it once on each of the Mint Macaron squares. Remember to re-ink the stamp with the Shaded Spruce Ink Pad each time.
Pick out the high heel shoe die from the All Dressed Up Dies. One at a time, put it on top of a stamped shoe image on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the image is centered. Run through the tool. Repeat with the other shoe image.
Lay the shoe cut outs on top of some Grid Paper to protect your work surface from ink. The Stampin' Blends Markers will bleed through the cardstock so you need to protect your work surface.
Use the fine tip of the Dark Shaded Spruce Marker to color in the arches in the centers of the shoes.
Use the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to paint some glitter onto the outer sides of the shoes.
Use SNAIL to adhere one colored and glitter painted shoe cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the left edge of the sentiment cut out.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the other colored and glitter painted shoe cut out to the front of the card so it slightly overlaps the first shoe cut out on the left side and slightly below.
Cut an 8" piece of the Mint Macaron 1/8" Sheer Linen Ribbon.
Tie the ribbon in a small bow. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot (squish it down a bit) to adhere the tiny bow to the front of the card so it is centered over the ribbon already on the card front to the left of the shoes.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a large pearl from a sheet of Pearl Basic Jewels making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the dot in the center of a square in the upper left corner of the vellum on the card front.
