Don't Worry Beach Happy |
T his card takes me to Hawaii! I used the Beach Happy stamp set in the 2019 Occasions catalogue!
Start with a 5"x4" piece of Glossy Cardstock. Using the edge of a Mango Melody ink pad, drag streaks of colour across the bottom half of the cardstock. Do the same with Crushed Curry. Moving up to the top half, drag Poppy Parade and Gorgeous Grape across the top section. This will give you a background which you can then cut in half (2-1/2"x4") to use on two cards.
Drag the corner of a Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad over the bottom left corner to create the hill. Stamp the tree from Beach Happy in black. You can bend the trunk of the tree a little before securing it to your block. Stamp carefully as the glossy paper is a little slippery! Allow to dry completely.
Using the Stitched Rectangle Framelits, cut the glossy piece with the 2-1/4 x 3-1/2" rectangle. Cut a piece of Poppy Parade cardstock with the 2-5/8" x 3-3/4" rectangle. Adhere the glossy piece to the Poppy Parade piece.
Run a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Gorgeous Grape cardstock through the Big Shot using the Dot to Dot Embossing Folder. Mount this on a Gorgeous Grape card base measuring 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" scored at 4-1/4". Cut a 5-1/2" x 1/2" piece of Grapefruit Grove foil from the 2019 Sale-A-Bration catalogue. Adhere about an inch up from the bottom of the card. Adhere the glossy piece about a half inch from the left side of the card.
Stamp the Don't Worry Beach Happy sentiment on a piece of Basic Black cardstock using Versamark ink. Cover with White Embossing Powder and heat using the Heat Tool. Diecut using the oval from the Wonderful Floral Framelits and mount with Stampin' Dimensionals to the right of the glossy piece. Add some Basic Rhinestones.
