C ute card perfect for Christmas or a thank you using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Sweet Sorbet Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Parakeet Party Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 4" from Sweet Sorbet Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 2-1/4" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 1" x 2" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 2" from Soft Suede Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 5" from Parakeet Party Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Design A Treat Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the grouping of lines in squares image from the Design A Treat Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Parakeet Party Ink Pad. Stamp it on the left side of the large, vertical Parakeet Party rectangle so the lines are vertical and the left edge is about 3/8" from the left side of the cardstock and the top edge is about 1" from the top edge of the cardstock/ Re-ink the stamp and stamp it again just below the previously stamped image. Make sure the lines are still vertical.
Adhere the stamped Parakeet Party rectangle to the front of the Sweet Sorbet card.
Insert the Sweet Sorbet rectangle into the Gingham Embossing Folder. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure it is lined up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Adhere the dry embossed Sweet Sorbet rectangle to the front of the card so the top is about 5/8" from the top of the card and the right side is about 1/2" from the right side of the card.
Mount the face image from the Design A Treat Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Early Espresso Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the larger, vertical Crumb Cake rectangle about 3/4" from the bottom.
Pick out the large scalloped edge tag die from the Design A Treat Box Dies. Put it on top of the stamped Crumb Cake rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the face is centered side to side and is slightly closer to the bottom edge.. Run through the machine.
Pick out the ears die from the Design A Treat Box Dies. Put it on top of the smaller Crumb Cake rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Use a thin line of Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen on the back of the top of the face cut out to adhere the ears cut out to the back so the ears stick out on either side just a bit.
Pick out the antlers die from the Design A Treat Box Dies. Put it on top of the Soft Suede rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Mount the label outline image from the Design A Treat Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Sweet Sorbet Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the long, horizontal Parakeet Party strip.
Mount the "for you" sentiment from the Design A Treat Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Sweet Sorbet Ink Pad. Stamp it inside the label image stamped on the long Parakeet Party strip.
Pick out one of the matching label dies and both of the bow top dies from the Design A Treat Box Dies. Put them on top of the stamped Parakeet Party strip on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Make sure the label die is centered over the center of the stamped label. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the "for you" label cut out to the front of the card so it is centered over the bottom edge of the dry embossed Sweet Sorbet rectangle as shown.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the antlers, face with ears attached cut out, and both bow cut outs on the dry embossed Sweet Sorbet rectangle to figure out placement and spacing. The bow cut outs are being used to create a frilly collar and should overlap a bit at the bottom center of the face.
When happy with the placement and spacing, adhere the pieces in place one a time. Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the antlers and bow pieces.
Pick out one bell from the Flat Jingle Bell Trinkets. Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere it to the front of the card so it is centered over the collar as shown.
Cut a 9" piece of the Sweet Sorbet 1/8" Metallic Woven Ribbon.
Tie a small bow in the center of the ribbon and trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon bow to the front of the card so it is centered over the top of the bell trinket.
