Daisy Lane Spring Forest Daisies |
P retty spring card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and shimmer vellum pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Pale Papaya Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Pear Pizzazz Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 2" x 8-1/4" of Pale Papaya vellum from 2021-2023 In Color Shimmer Vellum
- 1-1/4" 3-7/8" from Pear Pizzazz Cardstock
- 1" x 3-7/8" from Pale Papaya Cardstock
Mount the Birch background stamp on Block F. Place the background stamp rubber side up on Grid Paper on your work surface. Ink up the stamp by pouncing or rubbing the Saddle Brown StazOn Ink Pad all over it. Leave the inked up stamp face up on your work surface. Carefully place the Very Vanilla rectangle on the stamp. Fold the Grid Paper up and over the top of everything and rub firmly all over. Using the Grid Paper protects your hands from getting ink on them.
Tip: I just clean my background stamps by running them under water until the water runs clear. Then, I let them air dry.
Mount the stem with leaves image from the Daisy Lane Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Pear Pizzazz Ink Pad. Stamp on the vertical birch stamped vanilla rectangle so the top of the stem is about 1-1/2" from the top edge and the left edge of the leaves is about 1/2" from the left edge. Re-ink the stamp with the Pear Pizzazz Ink Pad and stamp the stem again at a slight angle to the right and slightly lower as shown.
Mount either the "Smile" or "Friend" sentiment from the Daisy Lane Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Pear Pizzazz Ink Pad. Stamp onto the thin Pale Papaya cardstock strip on the right side.
Adhere the stamped Pale Papaya strip to the center of the thin Pear Pizzazz strip. The left and right edges will be even.
Adhere the matted sentiment strip to the bottom of the stamped vanilla rectangle about 1/4" from the bottom so the strip covers the bottom of the stems. The left and right edges will be even.
Adhere the layered vanilla rectangle to the center of the large Pear Pizzazz rectangle.
Cut a 3" piece of the Gold 3/8" Fine Art Ribbon so it has a sharp angle on one end.
Lay the ribbon horizontally across the matted cardstock rectangle so it is centered over the sentiment strip and the sharp angle is near the left edge of the sentiment. The left end of the ribbon should hang over the left edge. Fold the left end of the ribbon over and secure the ribbon in place on the back of the rectangle using a strip of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape piece and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the Pear Pizzazz rectangle. Adhere it to the front of the Pale Papaya card.
Put a short strip of Tear & Tape Adhesive horizontally under the ribbon on the front of the card. Remove the protective backing and stick the ribbon to it.
Mount the small daisy image from the Daisy Lane Set on Block C so one petal is straight down. Ink it up with the Saddle Brown StazOn Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the thin horizontal strip of shimmer vellum. Make sure one petal is pointing straight down. Stamp the daisy again 3 more times across the shimmer vellum strip. Make sure to re-ink the stamp each time and have one petal pointing straight down each time. Leave a little space between each image so you can punch them out.
Unlock the Medium Daisy Punch. Hold the punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide a daisy image into the punch and get it lined up in the punching area. Punch. Repeat until you've punched out all four daisies.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere one daisy punch out to the center of another daisy punch out slightly offset to make one full daisy. Repeat with the remaining two daisies.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the layered daisy punch outs to the front of the card so they are centered over the tops of the stems.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 2 gold pearls from the sheet of Metallic Pearls making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the centers of the layered daisies slightly off from center as shown..
