Daisy Lane No Line Watercolor Daisies |
P retty card for a friend using Stampin' Up! products and the no line watercoloring technique.
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a cutting and scoring tool:
- card from Purple Posy Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 2-1/2" x 5-1/4" from Mossy Meadow Cardstock
- 3" x 5" from Whisper White Thick Cardstock
- 1" x 2-3/4" from Purple Posy Cardstock
Insert the Mossy Meadow rectangle into the Layered Leaves 3D Embossing Folder. Run the folder with the paper inside through your die cutting and embossing tool.
Adhere the dry embossed Mossy Meadow rectangle to the front of the Purple Posy card on the left side.
Mount the small, multi-petal daisy image from the Daisy Lane Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Sahara Sand Ink Pad. Stamp onto Grid Paper. WITHOUT REINKING, stamp on Whisper White Thick rectangle near the left edge about 1/2" from the top. Leave the stamp on the block.
Re-ink the small, multi-petal daisy image on Block B with the Sahara Sand Ink Pad. Stamp onto Grid Paper. WITHOUT REINKING, stamp on Whisper White Thick rectangle near the right edge about 1-3/8" from the top.
Mount the stem with leaves image from the Daisy Lane Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Sahara Sand Ink Pad. Stamp onto Grid Paper. WITHOUT REINKING, stamp on Whisper White Thick rectangle so the stem is just below the flower on the right side and the bottom of the stem goes off the bottom of the cardstock. Leave the stamp on the block.
Re-ink the stem with leaves image on Block H with the Sahara Sand Ink Pad. Stamp onto Grid Paper. WITHOUT REINKING, stamp on Whisper White Thick rectangle so the top of the stem is just below the bottom of the flower on the left side and the bottom stem almost touches the previously stamped stem on the left side.
One at a time, squeeze the lids of the ink pads to get ink in the lids. If needed, add ink to the lid of the pads using ink refills. Use the Blender Pen to pick up ink from the pad lids and color in the flowers, stems with leaves, and background.
Scribble on Grid Paper in between colors until no more color is coming off the Blender Pen.
Use the following colors:
Blackberry Bliss - for small lines on petals on flower centers
Purple Posy – for petals
Mossy Meadow - for stems and leaves, if needed extend the stems by drawing them in by hand
Pool Party - for background
TIP: Remember to stroke in one direction only with the Blender Pen or the cardstock will tear and pill up.
Adhere the no line watercolored daisies rectangle to the front of the card so it overlaps the right side of the dry embossed Mossy Meadow rectangle a bit.
Unlock the Banner Triple Punch. Slide one short edge of the Purple Posy strip into the punch as far as it will go. Punch.
Mount either the "Smile" or "Friend" sentiment from the Daisy Lane Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Blackberry Bliss Ink Pad. Stamp onto the punched Purple Posy strip so the notch is on the right side and the sentiment is close to the notch.
Adhere the sentiment strip to the card front so the left edge is even with the left edge of the daises rectangle and it is about 3/4" from the bottom of the card.
Put a strip of Tear & Tape Adhesive down the left side of the daisies rectangle so it is about 1/4" from the top and bottom edges of the daisies rectangle.
Cut a 4-3/4" piece of the Purple Posy 1/2" Scalloped Linen Ribbon. Adhere it to the Tear & Tape strip on the card front.
Cut a 4" piece of the Purple Posy 1/2" Scalloped Linen Ribbon. Tie a half knot in the center. Trim the ends. Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the card front at a slight angle so it is in the upper corner where the sentiment strip and the ribbon meet.
