Cup Of Tea Leafy Cup Stack |
P retty card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Evening Evergreen Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Parakeet Party Cardstock
- 1" x 4" of greenery and flowers on white background design from Tea Boutique 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
- 2" x 5-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2" x 2-3/4" from Evening Evergreen Cardstock
- 2" x 2-3/4" from Parakeet Party Cardstock
- 1-7/8" x 2-5/8" from Adhesive Sheets
- 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" from Evening Evergreen Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" from Parakeet Party Cardstock
Put the 4" x 5-1/4" Parakeet Party rectangle vertically into the Gingham Embossing Folder so about 1" of cardstock hangs out the bottom of the folder. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure it is lined up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Adhere the strip of Tea Boutique Designer Paper to the bottom of the dry embossed Parakeet Party rectangle so it leaves about 3/8" of Parakeet Party showing at the bottom.
Adhere the dry embossed Parakeet Party rectangle with designer paper attached to the front of the Evening Evergreen card.
Unlock the Double Oval Punch. Hold the punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" Evening Evergreen strip into the punch and get it centered in the scalloped oval punching area. Punch. Leave the punch unlocked.
As you are ready to stamp using the Cup Of Tea Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "I miss you," "enjoy," "sweet," "I just can't thank you enough," or "It's time for tea" sentiment from the Cup Of Tea Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Evening Evergreen Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of one end of the horizontal 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" Parakeet Party strip, leaving room to punch it out.
Holding the unlocked Double Oval Punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped sentiment strip into the punch and get it centered in the smooth oval punching area. Punch.
Adhere the sentiment oval punch out to the center of the scalloped oval punch out. Then, adhere them to the card front so they are centered top to bottom over the designer paper strip and are about 1/2" from the left edge.
Mount the cup with leaves on it image from the Cup Of Tea Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Parakeet Party Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the horizontal white rectangle. Leave room to cut it out and stamp another cup beside it. Clean the stamp using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy, but leave it on the block.
Re-ink the cup with leaves on it image on Block D with the Evening Evergreen Ink Pad. Stamp it on the other end of the horizontal white rectangle. Leave room to cut it out.
Pick out the matching, open tea cup die from the Teacup Dies. Put it on top of one of the stamped cup images on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the image is centered in the die. Run through the machine. Repeat with the other cup image. Leave the die out.
Tip: I find it better to cut out the images before coloring in the leaves. That way if the die slips, you haven't wasted time and ink on the coloring.
Put the open tea cup die on top of the 2" x 2-3/4" Evening Evergreen rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Use the Parakeet Party Stampin' Write Marker to color in the leaves on the Parakeet Party/white cup cut out and the Evening Evergreen/white cup cut out.
Peel the protective backing off of the Adhesive Sheets rectangle. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets rectangle to one side of the 2" x 2-3/4" Parakeet Party rectangle. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the detailed leafy cup die from the Teacup Dies. Put it on top of the Parakeet Party rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the Parakeet Party (green) side is face up. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick and Take Your Pick Die Brush to remove the pieces.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the detailed leafy cup cut out. Adhere it to the top of the solid Evening Evergreen cup cut out.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the cup cut outs on the front of the card to figure out placement of the cups in a stack. When happy with the placement, adhere the cups in place one at a time.
Cut a 4" piece of the Evening Evergreen 3/8" Windowpane Check Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card at a slight angle as shown.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 small Evening Evergreen opal round from the sheet of 2021-2023 In Color Opal Rounds making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the upper left corner of the card in one of the spaces in the gingham pattern.
