Cup Of Christmas Cherry Sweet Wishes |
P layful Christmas card using Stampin' Up! products.
|
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Cherry Cobbler Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 3-3/4" x 5" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2-1/2" square from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1" x 2-1/2" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1" x 2-1/2" from Cherry Cobbler Cardstock
Place the large white rectangle on some Grid Paper on your work surface. Pick out the small diamonds mask from the Pattern Party Decorative Masks. Place it over the cardstock.
Tip: If desired, use pieces of washi tape to hold the cardstock and mask in place. Just make sure they don't cover anywhere that you want to have the pattern. Be aware that sometimes washi tape will also tear the white or vanilla cardstocks when you try to remove it.
Rub a Sponge Dauber across the open Cherry Cobbler Ink Pad to get it inky. Rub off excess ink on the Grid Paper. Then, daub it VERY LIGHTLY over the mask on top of the cardstock in the center of the cardstock. Get more ink on the Sponge Dauber as needed.
Tip: I just clean my Sponge Daubers when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
Tip: I also clean the masks by running them under water until no more color is coming off and then letting them air dry.
As you are ready to stamp using the Cup Of Christmas Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "sweet Christmas wishes" sentiment from the Cup Of Christmas Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Cherry Cobbler Ink Pad. Stamp it in the lower right corner of the stenciled, large white rectangle so it is about 5/8" from the right and bottom edges.
Adhere the stenciled and stamped, large white rectangle to the front of the Cherry Cobbler card.
Mount the dotted cup image from the Cup Of Christmas Set on Block C so the handle is on the right side of the block. Ink up the stamp with the Cherry Cobbler Ink Pad. Stamp in the center of the white square. The handle should now be on the left.
Pick out the open cup die with the handle on the left side from the Cup Of Cheer Dies. Put it on top of the stamped cup image on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the image is centered. Run through the tool.
Pick out the more solid candy cane die from the Cup Of Cheer Dies. Put it on top of the small strip of Whisper White Cardstock on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Pick out the more open, striped candy cane die from the Cup Of Cheer Dies. Put it on top of the small strip of Cherry Cobbler Cardstock on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the striped, Cherry Cobbler candy cane over the top of the solid, white candy cane.
Use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the layered candy cane to the front of the card at a very slight angle so the hook is to the left and the top is about 3/4" from the top of the card and the left edge is about 3/4" from the left edge.
Cut an 7" piece of Cherry Cobbler 3/8" Diagonal Stripe Ribbon so both ends are angled.
Fold the ribbon in half. Lay the ribbon on the card front at an angle so the loose ends are on the left and almost touch the left edge of the white layer and are about 1/2" from the bottom of the white layer. Use a small piece of Tear of Tape Adhesive across the center of the folded ribbon to hold it in place. Leave the protective backing in place.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the cup cut out to the front of the card so the bottom of the cup is even with the bottom of the sentiment and the cup covers the Tear & Tape holding the ribbon in place and it appears that the candy cane is coming out of the left side of the cup.
