Cookie Cutter Christmas Falling Reindeer
P layful Christmas card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Real Red Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" from Real Red Cardstock
- 1" x 3-1/2" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- scrap of Crumb Cake Cardstock at least 2-1/2" long
As you are ready to stamp using the Cookie Cutter Christmas Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of paper (Grid Paper works great) on top of the mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the reindeer image from the Cookie Cutter Christmas Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Soft Suede Ink Pad. Stamp it at an angle in the lower right corner of the large Crumb Cake rectangle so the nose is just barely on the cardstock along the bottom edge. Let the right antler and right ear touch the right edge of the cardstock.
Re-ink the stamp with the Soft Suede Ink Pad and stamp at the opposite angle just above the left ear of the previously stamped reindeer.
Re-ink the stamp again with the Soft Suede Ink Pad and stamp at the opposite angle just above the right ear of the second stamped reindeer so the right ear will go off the right edge of the cardstock and the antlers will go off the top edge.
Place the stamped Crumb Cake rectangle on top of some paper on your work surface (Grid Paper works great). You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Use the Real Red Light Stampin' Blends fine tip to color in the inside of the deer ears.
Use the Soft Suede Light Stampin' Blends to color in the antlers.
Unlock the Banner Triple Punch. Slide one end of the strip of Real Red Cardstock into the punch as far as it will go. Punch. Leave the punch unlocked.
Slide one end of the strip of Very Vanilla Cardstock into the punch as far as it will go. Punch
Adhere the vanilla banner to the red banner.
Mount the "Warm Heartfelt Greetings..." sentiment from the Cookie Cutter Christmas Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it on the scrap of Crumb Cake Cardstock.
Use Paper Snips to carefully cut out the words "very," "merry," and "Christmas."
Use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the word cut outs at angles on the vanilla part of the banner.
Cut a 2-1/4" piece of Real Red 1/8" Solid Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the top of the matted banners just above the sentiment cut outs. Flip the layers over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere the ends of the ribbon in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add SNAIL to the back of the matted banners. Adhere it to the upper left side of the stamped and colored Crumb Cake rectangle about 1/2" from the left side. Use Paper Snips to trim off excess cardstock along the top.
Put SNAIL on the back of the Crumb Cake rectangle and adhere it to the front of the Real Red card.
Cut a 3" piece of the Real Red 1/8" Solid Ribbon.
Slide one end of the ribbon under the ribbon on the card front and tie it in place using a half knot. Trim the ends.
Carefully peel up 3 rhinestones from a sheet of Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the tops of the reindeer noses.
