Comfort & Hope Roses Paper Hug |
P retty card for sympathy, get well, or thinking of you made with Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Magenta Madness Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" of pink and red roses with green leaves on dotted pink background design from Flowers For Every Season 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper, cut so the flowers are horizontal on the horizontal rectangle
- 2-1/2" square from Magenta Madness Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 2" from Just Jade Cardstock
- 1-3/8" x 1-7/8" from Adhesive Sheets
- 1-1/4" square from Poppy Parade Cardstock
- 1-1/8" square from Adhesive Sheets
-
Cut an 18" piece of the Blushing Bride Twine from the Snail Mail Twine Combo Pack.
Fold the twine into thirds. Lay the folded twine across the bottom of the Flowers For Every Season Designer Paper rectangle so it is about 1-1/4" from the bottom and the three strands are separated a bit. Flip the designer paper over and fold the ends of the folded twine over. Use pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive to hold the folded ends of the twine in place.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the designer paper rectangle. Adhere it to the front of the Magenta Madness card.
Mount the small, 2-line sentiment of choice from the Comfort & Hope Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Misty Moonlight Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Magenta Madness square.
Pick out the large, open, scallop-edged heart die that cuts out a heart that is 1-7/8" wide and the stitched-edged, open heart die that is 1-13/16" wide from the Stitched Be Mine Dies. Place the sentiment stamped Magenta Madness square on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Place the heart dies on top so they are centered over the sentiment and around each other. Run through the machine.
Tip: The larger die cuts out the center heart shape which you are using on this project. It also cuts out a thin, scallop-edged heart frame. Use the Die Brush and/or Paper-Piercing Tool to remove the heart frame and throw it away or use it on another project.
Tip: The smaller heart die does NOT cut anything out, but does add the stitching.
Adhere the heart sentiment cut out to the front of the card so it is centered over the twine strands and is about 1" from the right edge.
Peel the protective backing off of the Adhesive Sheets rectangle. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets rectangle to one side of the Just Jade rectangle. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the detailed, small rose with leaves die from the Stitched Be Mine Dies. Put it on top of the Just Jade rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the Just Jade (green) side is up. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and Take Your Pick to remove the pieces. Leave the die out.
Peel the protective backing off of the Adhesive Sheets square. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets square to one side of the Poppy Parade square. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Place the detailed, small rose with leaves die on top of the Poppy Parade square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the Poppy Parade (red) side is up. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Use Paper Snips to trim off the excess leaf bits from the Poppy Parade rose cut out.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the Poppy Parade rose cut out. Adhere it over the rose on the Just Jade rose and leaves cut out.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the back of the Just Jade rose and leaves cut out. Adhere it to the bottom of the heart sentiment cut out as shown.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a Just Jade dot from the 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the rose cut out.
Cut a 16" piece of the Blushing Bride Twine from the Snail Mail Twine Combo Pack.
Fold the twine in thirds. Tie a small bow in the center of the folded twine. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the twine bow to the front of the card at a slight angle so it is centered over the twine strands on the front of the card on the left side of the heart sentiment cut out.
