Circle Sayings Star Celebration |
B right, cheery card that will work for a Christmas card or any other celebration using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and designer series paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Crushed Curry Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Real Red Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2" x 5-1/8" of white stars on yellow background design from Merry Bold & Bright 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 2-3/4" x 3-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 2-1/4" from Crushed Curry Cardstock
DO THIS STEP FIRST!
Cut a 5-3/4" piece of the White 1/2" Iridescent Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface.
Color one side of the ribbon using the brush tip of the Dark Real Red Stampin' Blends.
Set aside to allow to dry.
Adhere the piece of Delightfully Eclectic Designer Paper to the bottom of the horizontal 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" white rectangle. The left, right, and bottom edges should be even.
Adhere the layered cardstock/designer paper rectangle to the center of the Real Red rectangle.
Lay the colored ribbon across the layered cardstock/designer paper rectangle so it covers the seam between the pieces. Fold the ends of the ribbon over and secure the ribbon in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the Real Red rectangle. Adhere the rectangle to the front of the Crushed Curry card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Circle Sayings Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "celebrate" words circle image from the Circle Sayings Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Crushed Curry Ink Pad. Stamp the image on one end of the horizontal white strip leaving room to punch it out.
Unlock the 2-3/8" Circle Punch. Hold the punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped "celebrate" words circle into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Mount the rays of light image from the Circle Sayings Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Crushed Curry Ink Pad. Stamp it four times around the inside of the "celebrate" circle as shown getting the rays as close to the words as possible so you leave an unstamped, rough circle in the center. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time.
Use the side of the brush tip of the Real Red Stampin' Write Marker to carefully outline the edge of the circle punch out.
Adhere the punched out circle to the front of the card so one of the words is centered across the top of the circle and the circle is centered over the ribbon on the right side about 5/8" from the edge.
Pick out both groups of three small stars dies from the Give It A Whirl Dies. Put them both on top of the small Crushed Curry rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove pieces as needed.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere one large star cut out to the center of the circle punch out.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut two tiny pieces of Dimensionals from the edge of the Dimensionals sheet. Use the pieces to adhere two medium star cut outs to the card front as shown. One in the center of the large star in the center of the circle punch out and one in the upper left corner of the card.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere two small star cut outs to the front of the card as shown in the upper left corner.
