Circle Sayings Lemon Lolly Cupcake |
B right, cheery card perfect for lots of celebrations using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and designer series paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Pecan Pie Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Lemon Lolly Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 3-7/8" of white dots on Lemon Lolly background design from Subtles 6' x 6" Designer Series Paper
- 2-3/4" x 3-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 1-1/2" from Lemon Lolly Cardstock
- 1" x 1-1/2" from Pecan Pie Cardstock
Adhere the piece of Subtles Designer Series Paper to the bottom of the vertical 4" x 5-1/4" Lemon Lolly rectangle so about 1/8" of Lemon Lolly shows on the left, right, and bottom edges.
Cut a 4-3/4" piece of the Pecan Pie 1/2" Bordered Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the layered cardstock/designer paper rectangle so it covers the seam between the pieces. Fold the ends of the ribbon over and secure the ribbon in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the Lemon Lolly rectangle. Adhere the rectangle to the front of the Pecan Pie card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Circle Sayings Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of Grid Paper on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the "celebrate" words circle image from the Circle Sayings Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Pecan Pie Ink Pad. Stamp the image on one end of the horizontal white strip leaving room to punch it out.
Unlock the 2-3/8" Circle Punch. Hold the punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped "celebrate" words circle into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Adhere the punched out circle to the front of the card so one of the words is centered across the top of the circle and the bottom of the circle overlaps the ribbon on the left side about half way down the ribbon.
Mount the cupcake image from the Circle Sayings Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Pecan Pie Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the small Pecan Pie rectangle so you get the bottom of the cupcake. Re-ink the stamp with the Pecan Pie Ink Pad and stamp it again on the small Lemon Lolly rectangle so you get the frosting of the cupcake.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut the frosting out of the stamped Lemon Lolly rectangle. Make sure to cut the jagged lines along the bottom where the frosting is behind the top of the cupcake wrapper.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut the cupcake wrapper bottom out of the stamped Pecan Pie rectangle. Cut a straight line across the top of the cupcake wrapper where it is hidden by the frosting.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the bottom of the frosting cut out to the top of the cupcake wrapper cut out, lining up all the lines.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the pieced together cupcake to the center of the circle punch out.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the Pecan Pie 1/2" Bordered Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card as shown so it is centered at the bottom of the circle punch out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 medium and 2 small Copper Clay gems from the sheet of Adhesive-Backed Solid Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the upper right corner of the card as shown in a straight line down with the medium gem in the center.
