Circle Sayings Beachy Hello |
B eachy hello card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Misty Moonlight Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Pebbled Path Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Boho Blue Cardstock
- 2-3/4" square from Pebbled Path Cardstock
- 2-3/4" x 3-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
Lightly spritz the Boho Blue rectangle with water. Insert the slightly damp Boho Blue rectangle into the Seashells 3D Embossing Folder. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine. Set the cardstock aside to let it dry a bit.
Note: By lightly dampening the cardstock, you get a deeper impression of the images from the embossing folder.
Unlock the 2-3/8" Circle Punch. Hold the punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the white cardstock into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
As you are ready to stamp using the Circle Sayings Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the shell arch image from the Circle Sayings Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Pebbled Path Ink Pad. Stamp the image on the top half of the punched out white circle. Re-ink the stamp and stamp it on the bottom half of the punched out circle.
Squeeze the lid of the Boho Blue Ink Pad to get ink in the lid. Use the Blender Pen to pick up ink from the pad lid and color in some of the shells. Remember to stroke in one direction only or the cardstock will tear and pill up. Scribble on Grid Paper when you are done until no more ink is coming off the Blender Pen.
Squeeze the lid of the Misty Moonlight Ink Pad to get ink in the lid. Use the Blender Pen to pick up ink from the pad lid and color in some of the remaining shells and add highlights to some of the other shells you already colored. Remember to stroke in one direction only or the cardstock will tear and pill up. Scribble on Grid Paper when you are done until no more ink is coming off the Blender Pen.
Squeeze the lid of the Pebbled Path Ink Pad to get ink in the lid. Use the Blender Pen to pick up ink from the pad lid and color in the starfish. Remember to stroke in one direction only or the cardstock will tear and pill up. Scribble on Grid Paper when you are done until no more ink is coming off the Blender Pen.
Mount the straight sentiment of choice from the Circle Sayings Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Misty Moonlight Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the colored circle punch out.
Pick out the scalloped circle die from the Layering Circles Dies that cuts out a scalloped circle that is 2-9/16" in diameter. Put it on top of the Pebbled Path square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Adhere the stamped and colored white circle punch out to the center of the Pebbled Path scalloped circle cut out.
Use Tear & Tape Adhesive strips on the edges of the dry embossed Boho Blue rectangle to adhere it to the center of the large Pebbled Path rectangle. Then, adhere the matted rectangle to the front of the Misty Moonlight card.
Note: You want to use Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere the dry embossed layer since you did get the cardstock wet and it may want to curl a bit!
Adhere the matted circle to the front of the card in the upper right corner.
Cut a 9" piece of the Gray Granite 1/4" Shimmer Ribbon.
Tie a small bow in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon bow in place at a slight angle on the lower left side of the circle as shown.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 3 different size Pebbled Path dots from the sheet of 2023-2025 In Color Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the front of the card as shown.
