Christmas To Remember Stars Music |
A double-embossed Christmas card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock, foil sheets, and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Smoky Slate Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Night Of Navy Cardstock
- 3-1/4" square from Night Of Navy Cardstock
- 3-1/4" square of mirrored foil finish from Silver Foil 12" x 12" Specialty Pack
- 3-1/8" square from Adhesive Sheets
- 1-1/4" x 2-1/2" from Smoky Slate Cardstock
Open the Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder. Lightly rub the open VersaMark Ink Pad over the inside of the top flap (the one with the Stampin' Up! logo and line). Don't press too hard.
Insert the large Night Of Navy rectangle into the inked up Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder so the music will run horizontally across the vertical rectangle. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure it is lined up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Lay the dry embossed and VersaMark stamped Night Of Navy cardstock rectangle on top of some Grid Paper in the center. Sprinkle on some silver powder from the Metallics Stampin' Emboss Powders so it covers the entire rectangle. Tap off excess powder. If desired, use a brush to knock off even more embossing powder. You want the embossing powder to be very splotchy, especially on the large, smooth areas. Return the excess powder to the container to use again later.
Heat the powder with the Heat Tool until it is completely melted (shiny and smooth).
Adhere the dry and heat embossed Night Of Navy rectangle to the front of the Smoky Slate card.
Pick out the large, open star die from the Christmas Trimmings Dies. Put it on top of the Night Of Navy square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Leave the die out.
Peel the protective backing off of the Adhesive Sheets square. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets square to the white side of the silver foil square. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the detailed, large star die from the Christmas Trimmings Dies. Put it on top of the foil square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the silver foil side is face up. Place the large, open star die on top of the foil square as well so it is centered over the detailed star die. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces. Keep the large, detailed star cut out and the thin, outline star cut out as well.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the thin, outline star cut out. Adhere it to the front of the card near the top right corner at a slight angle as shown.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the detailed star cut out. Adhere it to the center of the solid Night Of Navy star cut out.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the layered star cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the lower left side of the thin outline star cut out a bit.
Mount the "'Tis The Season" block sentiment from the Christmas To Remember Set on Block G. Ink it up with the VersaMark Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the small strip of Smoky Slate Cardstock.
Lay the stamped sentiment on top of some Grid Paper in the center. Sprinkle on some silver powder from the Metallics Stampin' Emboss Powders so it covers the entire sentiment. Tap off excess powder. Return the excess powder to the container to use again later.
Heat the powder with the Heat Tool until it is completely melted (shiny and smooth).
Tip: Use a clothespin to hold the cardstock while using the Heat Tool to avoid burning your fingers.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut out the stamped and heat embossed sentiment by hand leaving a thin line of gray showing around the top, bottom, and left edges. Cut the right edge even with the edge of the embossed block.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment cut out to the front of the card so the right edge is even with the right edge of the large, embossed Night Of Navy rectangle in the lower right corner.
Cut a 5-1/2" piece of the Smoky Slate 7/8" Textured Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card at the bottom right point of the layered detailed star cut out at a slight angle as shown.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 3 small rhinestones from a sheet of Rhinestone Basic Jewels making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them randomly to the front of the card.
