Chick treat bag for craft shows |
I
made these treats for an upcoming spring craft show. I love the googly eyes on the chicks.
I was inspired by Sharoncheng.com who made a similar project and was so impressed I had to try making them as well. of course, I had to make them my own so it's not an exact copy.

I cut the card stock as follows;
So Saffron
I cut the card stock at 2" by 5 1/2" for the main body and scored it at 2 5/8 and 2 7/8 on the long side. I then used the scalloped punch at each end.
I then punched out the scalloped circles with a 1 3/4 punch in the same colour. This punch is now retired.
Whisper White
I cut pieces at 2" long by 3/4" for the sentiment
I used Grapefruit grove ink and sponged around the edges of both the body and the circles to provide a bit of depth to the overall look.
I then cut the circles in half and glued to the back of the "body" then creased the two score lines.
I then glued the eyes on and using the grapefruit grove blender pen, I drew a beak.
Once this was complete, I stamped Happy Spring from the Fabled Friends stamp set with the Grapefruit Grove ink onto white card stock then glued it directly to the front.
I folded the "body" up and inserted the Ghirardelli chocolate inside. I did use a glue dot just to hold it in place.
I then secured it all by tying it up with a white ribbon cut at about 7 1/2" in length.
