Cherry Blossom Wedding Card |
|
A lovely card to have on hand for a wedding.
Cardstock:
Base is Petal Pink, a sheet of 8.5 X 11 scored at 4.25 inches and cut at 5.5 inches. Fold in half and burnish with your bone folder.
Cherry Cobbler card stock cut at 5 3/8” X 4 1/8”
Designer Series Paper cut at 5.25 X 4”
Strip of DSP 5 3/8” X 1/2”
Whisper White card stock cut at 5 3/8” X 4 1/8” for the inside.
Scrap of whisper white
Cut DSP (Designer Series Paper) either in half or whatever ratio you prefer. I did one in half, this one I cut at 2.5”. I used the script side of the larger piece for the top and the “flip” side for the bottom half.
Adhere both halves to your Cherry Cobbler card stock.
Cut a 5” piece of ribbon and adhere to the back of your Cherry Cobbler layer. I prefer to use SNAIL adhesive on the back of the card stock, then adhere the both ends of the ribbon, making sure it is straight on the front of the card. You could also use glue dots to adhere the ends to the back of the card stock.
Time to put this layer onto the card base. I like to use Multi Purpose, but you can use SNAIL.
Time to Stamp! Stamp the cherry blossom branch onto the scrap of whisper white card stock, stamp sentiment and followers onto the inside layer.
Color cherry blossom focal piece - I used Stampin’ Up Blends in Cherry Cobbler, Petal Pink, Mossy Meadow and Soft Suede. Keep an ink lifter handy in case you go out of the lines. Color the flowers you stamped for the inside.
Using dies from the bundle, cut out cherry blossom branch, also cut the flowers from Cherry Cobbler card stock.
Time to put your card together:
Adhere inside piece to card base using multi purpose glue; using dimensionals (mini dimensionals in spots too small for regular dimensionals) adhere to the front of your card.
Glue die cut flowers onto the card.
Embellish your card - use Wink of Stella on the flowers: cherry blossom branch, die cut flowers and stamped flowers inside. The champagne rhinestone basic jewels make lovely centers on the die cut flowers.
