Cheerful Daisies Pink Daisy Birthday |
P retty birthday card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Bubble Bath Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Moody Mauve Cardstock
- 2" x 5-1/8" from Wild Wheat Cardstock
- 2" x 5-1/8" of daisies with pink centers on dark purple pink background design from Fresh As A Daisy 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 3" x 5-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2" x 3" from Bubble Bath Cardstock
- 1-1/4" square from Bubble Bath Cardstock
Insert the Wild Wheat rectangle into the Hive 3D Embossing Folder. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure it is lined up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Adhere the dry embossed Wild Wheat rectangle to the top of the horizontal Moody Mauve rectangle so about 1/16" of Moody Mauve shows on the top, left, and right edges.
Adhere the strip of Fresh As A Daisy Designer Paper to the bottom of the Moody Mauve rectangle so about 1/16" of mauve shows on the bottom, left, and right edges. It may overlap the bottom of the dry embossed Wild Wheat layer a bit.
Put a strip of Tear & Tape Adhesive horizontally across the layered rectangle so it is centered over the seam between the cardstock and designer paper.
Cut a 5-1/4" piece of the White 3/4" Frayed Ribbon so it has a sharp angle on either end.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape on the card front and adhere the ribbon to it.
Adhere the layered rectangle with ribbon attached to the front of the Bubble Bath card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Cheerful Daisies Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the large, outline daisy image from the Cheerful Daisies Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Moody Mauve Ink Pad. Stamp it twice on the white cardstock. Remember to re-ink the stamp and leave a little space between the images so you can cut them out in a later step.
Rub a Small Blending Brush across the open Bubble Bath Ink Pad to get it inky. Lightly rub the inky Blending Brush across the petals of one of the stamped daisies. Get more ink on the Blending Brush as needed.
Tip: I just clean my Blending Brushes when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
Pick out the large open daisy die and the slightly smaller, more detailed large daisy die from the Cheerful Daisy Dies. Put the large open daisy die on top of the stamped and blended large daisy on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Put the detailed large daisy die on the top of the other stamped daisy so it is centered inside the image. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces as needed.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the center of the detailed daisy cut out to the top of the large, solid daisy cut out so the petals are not stuck down and it makes a fuller flower.
Use Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere the layered daisy to the front of the card so it is centered over the ribbon top to bottom and is about 1/2" from the left edge.
Mount the large flower center image from the Cheerful Daisies Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Bubble Bath Ink Pad. BEFORE STAMPING, use the brush tip of the Moody Mauve Stampin' Write Marker to outline the edges of the inky stamp. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Stamp it in the center of the small Bubble Bath square.
Pick out the matching, open large flower center die from the Cheerful Daisies Dies. Put it on top of the stamped image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the flower center cut out to the center of the daisy flower on the card front.
Mount the "wishing you the brightest birthday," "oops-a-daisy so sorry," or "your friendship means everything" sentiment from the Cheerful Daisies Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Moody Mauve Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the horizontal 2" x 3" Bubble Bath rectangle.
Pick out the label die from the Cheerful Daisies Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the sentiment. Run through the machine.
Use Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere the sentiment label to the front of the card so it is centered over the ribbon top to bottom and is about 1/2" from the right edge. The petals of the flower may overlap the left edge a bit.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a small Moody Mauve dot from the sheet of 2023-2025 In Color Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the bottom right side of the flower center as shown.
Pick out a trinket from the Dragonfly Trinkets. Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere it to the card front as shown.
