Charming Sentiments Juggling Koala |
C ute hello card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Lost Lagoon Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Pool Party Cardstock
- juggling koala cut out of various partying animals on white background design from Zoo Crew 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper using die from Nested Essentials Dies
- 1-1/2" x 2-1/4" of white zigzag lines on black background design from Zoo Crew 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 1-1/2" x 2-1/4" from Lost Lagoon Cardstock
Insert the Pool Party rectangle into the dotted embossing folder from the Basics 3D Embossing Folders set. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure it is lined up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Pick out the largest rounded-corner rectangle die from the Nested Essentials Dies. Put it on top of the juggling koala image on the Zoo Crew Designer Paper sheet. Use Paper Snips Scissors to roughly cut out the juggling koala from the sheet of Zoo Crew Designer Paper, but leave plenty of room to cut it out more closely using the die.
Put the largest rounded-corner rectangle die from the Nested Essentials Dies on top of the designer paper on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the juggling koala image with the image slightly closer to the top edge. Run through the machine.
Pick out the largest notched banner die from the Nested Essentials Dies. Put it on top of the zigzag Zoo Crew Designer Paper on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the zigzags as shown. Run through the machine.
Adhere the zigzag notched banner cut out to the back of the koala rectangle cut out so it hangs down from the bottom of the rectangle and is just about 1/4" from the left edge.
Adhere the layered designer paper pieces to the dry embossed Pool Party rectangle so they are evenly spaced up and down and are about 3/8" from the left edge.
Cut a 4-3/4" piece of the Black & White 1/4" Gingham Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the layered cardstock/designer paper rectangle so it covers the bottom of the koala rectangle cut out. Fold the ends of the ribbon over and secure the ribbon in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the Pool Party rectangle. Adhere the rectangle to the front of the Lost Lagoon card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Charming Sentiments Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the smaller sentiment of choice from the Charming Sentiments Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Lost Lagoon rectangle.
Pick out the smallest rounded-corner rectangle die from the Nested Essentials Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the sentiment. Run through the machine.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment rectangle cut out to the front of the card so it is centered over the ribbon on the right side and is about 5/8" from the right edge.
Cut a 3" piece of the Black & White 1/4" Gingham Ribbon.
Slide one end of the ribbon under the ribbon already on the card front and tie it in place using a half knot so it is centered over the lower left corner of the koala rectangle cut out. Trim the ends.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 3 gems in two different sizes of Pretty Peacock gems from the sheet of Tinsel Gems Four-Pack making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the front of the card as shown in a loose triangle in the upper right corner.
