Celebration Of Tags Purple Stripe Zebras |
P layful birthday or congratulations card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Petal Pink Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" of light and dark diagonal purple stripes design from Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper
- 2" x 4" from Petal Pink Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 2" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1" x 2" from Petal Pink Cardstock
Make sure you have some Grid Paper on your work surface to protect it from ink.
Mount the zebra with one hoof raised image from the Zany Zebras Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Blackberry Bliss Ink Pad. Stamp it randomly all over the large vertical Petal Pink rectangle. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Change the orientation of the stamp each time and let some of the images go off the edges.
Adhere the stamped Petal Pink strip to the left side of the Ice Cream Corner Designer Paper rectangle so there is about 1/4" of designer paper showing on the left side.
As you are ready to stamp using the Celebration Of Tags Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of paper (Grid Paper works great) on top of the mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the set of three tags which includes the zebra with balloon "Yay!" tag image from the Celebration Of Tags Set on Block I. Ink up just the zebra tag using the Blackberry Bliss Ink Pad. Stamp the zebra tag image so it is centered on the Basic White rectangle.
Pick out the large, set of three tags die from the Trio Of Tags Dies. Put it on top of the stamped rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the center tag with the fancy edge on one end only is centered over the stamped zebra tag image. Run through the machine.
Use the Petal Pink Marker to color in the zebra's balloon.
Cut a 5" piece of the Blackberry Bliss Striped Ribbon.
Thread the stamped and colored zebra tag cut out onto the ribbon piece.
Lay the ribbon with tag on it across the designer paper/stamped Petal Pink cardstock so it covers the right seam between the two. Flip the layers over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere the ends of the ribbon in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the designer paper rectangle. Adhere it to the front of the Petal Pink card.
If desired, use a small amount of Stampin' Seal on the back of the bottom of the zebra tag cut out to adhere it in place to the front of the card. Make sure it is near the top of the ribbon.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of Blackberry Bliss Striped Ribbon.
Slide one end of the ribbon piece under the ribbon already on the card front at the top of the tag. Tie in place with a half knot. Trim the ends.
Pick out the set of two little hearts die from the Trio Of Tags Dies. Put it on top of the small Petal Pink rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick and Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip to remove the pieces if needed. You are only using the larger solid heart on this project. Throw the other two hearts away or use them on another project.
Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the larger, solid Petal Pink heart cut out to the front of the card at a slight angle in the lower right corner of the card front.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 6 white hearts from a sheet of Resin Hearts making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere one to the center of the small Petal Pink heart cut out. Adhere the others randomly to the zebra stamped strip of Petal Pink.
